Vijay's Jana Gana Mana is not the film that's been waiting for its release day since January. As the world waits for the release, the actor has addressed the delay, saying that it was part of the conspiracy.

Vijay is gearing up for the upcoming Tamil Nadu elections. While he is busy with his campaign, the actor, who is also the chief of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has been facing a couple of challenging months. Vijay had planned to step into politics after wrapping up his acting career with the release of Jana Nayagan. However, due to clearance issues with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), the film is still on hold. In addition, he made headlines following a stampede during his rally in Karur, which reportedly claimed 40 lives. Vijay on Jana Nayagan delay and Karur stampede The actor-turned-politician filed his nomination for the Tamil Nadu elections in Trichy on Thursday. After filing, he addressed a large crowd that had gathered to show their support. During his speech, Vijay spoke about the delay of Jana Nayagan and the Karur incident, stating that he did not need to explain how multiple parties had united against him. Hinting at the larger conspiracy against him, Vijay said in Tamil,“I don’t need to tell you how all the parties have come together to oppose your Vijay. As many said, the conspiracy around the Karur incident, and the fact that my final film Jana Nayagan could not be released…What if it made our close-to-heart relationship even stronger? And what if that film became a powerful weapon in the elections? As a brother, son, as your Vijay, I need justice." Also read: Does Vijay’s final film Jana Nayagan need a green signal from the Election Commission? Read details Speaking further, the actor said that multiple forces have come against him. He added, “From the Karur incident to my last film Jana Nayagan, what if it only strengthened our close bond? And what if that film became a powerful weapon in this election? Is that why I was deceived? I need justice too.” Saying that he has given up the luxuries of life to stand with the people as he went on to slam CM MK Stalin, “I have come here for you, even though I have a luxurious life. I am coming only to repay your gratitude and bear all the pain,” said Vijay, adding, “I will never lie or deceive you. Do you want (current CM MK) Stalin, who works against people, or Vijay, who works for them? That’s all this election is about.” Also read: Tamil Nadu polls: Don't trust DMK or BJP, they are the same, says actor-politician Vijay Vijay has filed his nomination to contest from the Trichy East constituency. He will be contesting from two seats: Perambur in Chennai and Trichy East. Delay in Jana Nayagan’s release Jana Nayagan, billed as Vijay’s final film before entering politics, is yet to be released. It was originally scheduled to hit theatres on January 9, but failed to secure CBFC clearance in time. Although the CBFC has reviewed the film, it has not yet been forwarded to the Election Commission for further review. As of now, no new release date has been announced. The film is directed by H. Vinoth.

<p>Rao, in an earlier interview with NDTV, had admitted to being "extremely nervous" about the role.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"I am nervous... It's a huge responsibility, but it's going to be a lot of fun," he had said.</p><h2>Rajkummar Rao had to transform for the film</h2><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Dada- The Sourav Ganguly Story had made headlines recently as well, albeit for a different reason altogether.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Rao attended an event in February, which sparked concerns among fans. The actor appeared more bulky and sported a different hairstyle. Many fans speculated if he was fine as he had visibly put on extra kilos.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A day later, Rao had to issue a clarification and assure everyone that nothing was wrong with his health and revealed he was prepping for his next film, the Ganguly biopic. “For Nikam I had to gain around 9-10 kgs, and I was eating 2 pizzas and a lot of sweets and my fav Aloo Parathas, Biryani, and to not use anything glam to look like the part. Hopefully, when you see the film, which will be released soon, you will be able to see all that hard work in the film. And now it’s the transition phase and time to lose these extra kgs and get ready to slip into Ganguly mode. Our very own Dada,” read a portion of his post on Instagram.</p><h2>Sourav Ganguly on his biopic</h2><p>Sourav Ganguly, one of India's most successful cricket captains, recently endorsed Rajkummar Rao's casting in his biopic.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>"I think the right person is doing it... I'll help him with everything," Ganguly said. The former skipper, who played for India between 1992 and 2008, had revealed that the film would go on floors in January 2026 and is slated for a theatrical release in December the same year.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Sourav Ganguly also stated, "Rajkummar has been locked for the film. I don't think anyone else can play me better than him." The former India captain is closely involved in the creative process of the biopic, which will chronicle his journey from Kolkata's streets to the higher echelon of Indian cricket.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Rajkummar Rao is all set to play legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly in a new biopic, which Vikramaditya Motwane is directing. On Wednesday, the actor and director revealed the title of the film.
