In a candid conversation on her health podcastTake 20, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu revealed the difficulties she faced while shooting for the Indian web series Citadel: Honey Bunny. Samantha, who recently returned to work after a hiatus due to her myositis diagnosis, discussed the physical demands of shooting the series.
"Shooting for Citadel was difficult with my myositis diagnosis. There’s a lot of action involved, so it was very strenuous," she explained.
Samantha also revealed that during the shoot, she experienced spasms and even passed out, requiring assistance from Alkesh. "Many, many calls were made to you (Alkesh) in the middle of the shoot - she’s having a spasm, she’s cramping. I passed out and I had a concussion," she detailed.
Citadel: Honey Bunny is the Indian adaptation of the American web series Citadel, created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, with the Russo Brothers as executive producers. The Indian version, created, written, and directed by Raj & DK and Sita R Menon, stars Samantha and Varun Dhawan in lead roles, alongside Sikandar Kher, Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Emma Canning.
Samantha's myositis diagnosis in 2022 forced her to take a break from work to recuperate. She recently returned to work to promote Citadel: Honey Bunny.
