Ranveer Singh served legal notice for using WWE star Brock Lesner's catchphrase

Ranveer Singh has a thing with controversies, most often it stems from his enthusiasm. Recently when the Bollywood star posted a tweet with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya, it came under fire from WWE superstar Brock Lesner’s close associate Paul Heyman.

Paul called out the tweet and cried ‘copyright’ for Ranveer used the wrestler’s catchphrase “Eat, Sleep, Repeat”.

Ranveer used the same phrase in the photo as a caption, while he praised the hard work of Hardik as India beat Pakistan in the ICC World Cup match in Manchester on June 16.

This was Paul's response:

Speaking to Indian Express, Paul opened up on how the issue escalated and his next move. He said, “It got serious because Hardik Pandya spends all of his days dreaming of being a successful global star like Brock Lesnar and Ranveer Singh decided to play Paul Heyman with him and put out a tweet. But in doing so, two of them stole a catchphrase that is a worth a lot of money to my client Brock Lesnar and to me. They violated our copyright. This is something that we take very seriously and it is something they should not have done. It’s their move as to what happens next.”

He then even spoke on why neither Ranveer nor Hardik has responded on the matter as he said, “Any smart attorney will tell you that the very first thing you do in any legal defence is- shut up! That is exactly what they are doing. That is a smart move in public but can only wear so long. They are obviously following their advice of counsel.”

Paul also said,“every person on the face of the planet should be scared of Brock Lesnar. He is the baddest dude on the planet” before he added that engaging with him intellectual capacity, people should live their life in fear for going up against the greatest advocate in the history of sports and entertainment. He said, “If you come up against Brock Lesnar or against Paul Heyman that is something to fear.”
