Katrina Kaif to replace Priyanka Chopra post her exit from Salman Khan's 'Bharat'?

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif

Story highlights

Priyanka who was earlier supposed to work with Salman Khan in 'Bharat' -- walked out of the film after apparently announcing that she's gotten engaged with Nick Jonas.

It looks like we will get to see Tiger Zinda Hai cast sooner than expected as Katrina Kaif has apparently been approached for Salman Khan’s Bharat, after Priyanka Chopra walked out of the film earlier today.

It was announced by Bharat’s director Ali Abbas Zafar that Priyanka Chopra has opted out of the film because of a "very very special reason"-- hinting at Priyanka Chopra’s blossoming relationship with Nick Jonas. It was later reported by various foreign media outlets that the duo has indeed gotten engaged in London where they rang in Priyanka’s 36th birthday.

Coming back to the film, Bharat is a remake of South Korean drama An Ode To My Father that was supposed to star Salman Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. It also has Disha Patani, Tabu and Nora Fatehi in roles carved out for them. It is, in fact, said that the real reason for Priyanka’s exit is the film becoming more of an ensemble cast than just primarily being around characters of Salman and Priyanka.
