Kangana went down the memory lane and spoke about homecoming. “Aapke saare darshakon ko bohot bohot shubhkaamnaaye Holi ki. Mera saubhagya hai ki meri janmabhumi, mere apnon ne mujhe wapis bulaya hai. Agar wo mujhe chunenge, main unki seva me tatpar rahungi. Isme koi do rai nahi hai (I wish the audience Happy Holi. I'm fortunate that my birthplace has called me back. If the people of Mandi will elect me, I'll serve them to the best of my abilities)," the actress said.

"Main ekdum bhav vibhor hoon. Aap samajh sakte hain ki mere aur mere parivar k liye kitna bhavnatmak ye din hai. Humare jo rashtriya adhyaksh hain JP Nadda ji unka main dil se aabhar vyakt karti hoon. Anurag Thakur Ji ne bhi mera bohot sahyog diya hai. Humare jo Ex-CM hai Jairam Thakur ji wo bhi mera bohot achchha margdarshan karte hain. Humare jo Home Minister ji hain, Amit ji, main unki sadaiv abhaari hoon. Aur humare yashasvi Pradhan mantri jo hain unki kripa hai hum par jo itni badi responsbility mili hai (I'm extremely emotional. You can understand that this is an emotional moment for me and my family. I'm grateful to our national president JP Nadda. Union minister Anurag Thakur has always supported me. Our Ex-CM Jairam Thakur has always guided me. I'm grateful to Home Minister Amit Shah and PM Narendra Modi for this responsibility)," Kangana added.

The actress said she was not new to challenges and faced many obstacles when she left home to pursue acting.

"Isi liye ishwar ne mujhme aisi shakti aur urja di hai ki shayad ab aap logon ki seva kar saku (That's why God gave me the strength to serve my people),” the actress further added.

While Kangana has made her foray into politics, she has not bid adieu to acting. The actress will be seen playing former prime minister Indira Gandhi in a film titled Emergency which is scheduled to release later this year. Kangana Ranaut has also directed the film.

On Monday, the actress also responded to a now deleted post of Congress national spokesperson Supriya Shrinate. The post shared on Sunday was deemed as mysogynyst by many and was later taken down. However. Kangana responded to the post on Monday and said in a tweet, “In the last 20 years of my career as an artist, I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii.”

“We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above the curiosity about their body parts and above all we must refrain from using sex workers’ challenging lives or circumstances as some kind of abuse or slur… every woman deserves her dignity…” she further added.
