Days after he went missing, Canadian actor Stewart McLean has been found dead. The remains of the Virgin River actor were found after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police announced that he might be the victim of a homicide.
McLean, known for his work in TV shows such as Virgin River, Arrow, and The Irrational, was 45 years old.

On May 18, the actor was reported missing three days after he was last seen at his home in Lions Bay, British Columbia, on May 15. Initially, the case was treated a missing persons case. On Thursday, May 21, it was announced that investigation authorities believe he may be a homicide victim.
As per People, on Friday, Canada’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced that the actor's remains had been located in the Lions Bay area of British Columbia.

"As the investigation continues to unfold, homicide investigators are working to collect and analyze evidence, review CCTV footage and conduct interviews to build a timeline of Mr. McLean's activities prior to May 15, 2026,” IHIT Cpl. Esther Tupper said in a press statement.
''We are pursuing all available leads as we work to find answers for the family, friends and loved ones of Mr. McLean," his statement continued.
Later, it is believed that McLean's disappearance is “an isolated incident.”
The actor's death was confirmed by his talent agent, Lucas Talent Inc.
In a post shared on Facebook written by talent agent Jodi Caplan, they shared, "It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved client, Stew McLean," the statement said. “I was fortunate to have worked with Stew for more than 10 years.”

"He was always such a pleasure to deal with — dedicated, professional, eager, and endlessly funny," the statement continued. "Many casting directors have reached out to share their condolences with Stew's family and with our agency, and every message says the same thing: what a truly great guy he was, and how deeply he will be missed. Investigation is underway and exact cause of death has not been revealed yet.
