Timothee Chalamet gave his fans a sweet surprise as he turned up at his own lookalike contest in New York. The event was happening in Lower Manhattan when Timothee paid his fans a visit.
Several pictures and videos of the actor with his fans are now making their way to social media platforms with fans expressing their excitement on hanging out with their favourite actor.
Timothee came to the event with bodyguards. He briefly posed for photos with his doppelgangers. All his fans had dressed in one or the other of his film characters. High-cheeked and curly-haired lookalikes were dressed as the actor’s characters in Wonka and Dune movies.
In one videomaking the rounds, Timothee is seen arriving smiling. The Dune actor wears a blue sweater, pants, and a cap. Timothée also sported a moustache.
News agency AP reported that the event started in Washington Square Park. Timothée doppelgangers walked and had a gala time as the police ordered them to disperse.

The police also slapped the organisers with a $500 fine for an “unpermitted costume contest”, according to the report. One contestant was taken away in handcuffs.
The Lookalike Contest
The organisers had posted flyers for the contest which promised a $50 prize to the winner. The flyers were posted around New York in recent days.
Paige Nguyen, a producer for the YouTube personality Anthony Po, who staged the event, told AP, “It started off as a silly joke, and now it’s turned pandemonium.”
The group first assimilated at the park. The group then soon found a backup location in a nearby playground, where more than a dozen contestants competed for audience approval from a makeshift stage.
Amongst all fans, 21-year-old Miles Mitchell was declared the winner. He was dressed in a purple Willy Wonka outfit and tossed candy to the crowd from a briefcase.

Meanwhile, Timothee Chalamet will next be seen in Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie. The sports biopic will see Timothée playing the role of the ping pong player Marty Reisman. He will also play a young Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, directed by James Mangold. The film will be released in December. Timothée was last seen in Dune: Part Two.
