Amitabh Bachchan is contemplating taking retirement from acting

Amitabh Bachchan may soon retire from the world of acting if his recent comments are taken into consideration.

The star was spotted leaving from Mumbai to join the shooting of his next film ‘Brahmastra’ with an ensemble cast in Manali today when he revealed that maybe it’s time for him to bid the acting world goodbye.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog after reaching Manali that his body is sending him signals to retire. He also wrote about how he was impressed by the simplicity of the small town and hospitality of the locals and those he met during the stopovers. “Tranquil .. essence of the freshness .. the winter feel, the purity hopefully of the air .. and a rest after 5am to now .. there is great humility and joy of felicitations en route .. the simplicity of the smaller town reigns supreme .. as does the generous hospitality .. we can never match their honesty and simplicity.”

As he spoke about “another new environ and another readjustment to room and its accoutrements,'' the actor added, “I must retire .. the head is thinking something else and the fingers another .. it's a message.”

Another report mentioned, “Amitabh is in Manali for the next few days before he moves to another shoot in a foreign location in early December. The film’s antagonists, Mouni Roy and Saurav Gurjar, too, will be a part of this schedule, that requires some amount of prep before the camera rolls.”

Amitabh Bachchanhas joined Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt who reached a couple of days earlier to the hill station to shoot some portions of Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra’. South star Nagarjuna is also a part of the film as he is said to play the role of an archaeologist. There are reports that the film will also have Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo role.
