Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has said that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg called him to apologise for censoring him and assured him that he would "not support a Democrat."
"Mark Zuckerberg called me recently. First of all, he called me a few times. He called me after the event and he said, 'That was really amazing, it was very brave,'" Trump told Fox News in an interview.
"He actually announced he's not gonna support a Democrat because he can't because he respected me for what I did that day," Trump said.
"They are working on it, and I think they’ve fixed it. I don’t believe he’s doing what he did five years ago with the $500 million," he added.
Google is ‘censoring news about me: Trump
Donald Trump criticised Google for allegedly censoring news and photos related to him.
Trump claimed that it was difficult to find any information or images regarding the failed assassination attempt on him on July 13 through Google’s platform.
"Google has been very bad. They’ve been very irresponsible, and I have a feeling that Google might be on the brink of being shut down because I don’t think Congress is going to tolerate it. I really don’t think so. Google needs to be careful," Trump told Fox News in the interview.
However, Google has refuted these claims, denying any censorship.
Google clarified that its autocomplete feature failed to provide predictions for searches related to the assassination attempt on former President Trump because its systems designed to safeguard against political violence were outdated.
