US Labels Muslim Brotherhood Branches in Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan as Terror Groups

The United States has designated the Egyptian, Lebanese and Jordanian branches of the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorist organisations, imposing sanctions on the groups and their members. Washington says the move targets alleged support for violent acts and backing for Hamas, though critics warn it could affect ties with Middle Eastern partners. The Lebanese branch was labelled a Foreign Terrorist Organization while others were listed as global terrorists.
