Tonga volcanic eruption: At least 3 killed, homes demolished; damage assessment is underway
Initial damage assessment is now underway in Tonga following a violent volcanic eruption which also triggered a tsunami which crashed ashore on Tonga. According to authorities at least, a 15 meter tall Tsunami waves crashed ashore on Tonga resulting in deaths of at least about three people and demolishing several homes.
