KP CM Alleges Obstruction by Sindh Police, Afridi Urges Residents to Join Rally
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has shifted its Karachi rally to Mazar-i-Quaid after alleging that Sindh police blocked roads, raided Bagh-i-Jinnah and subjected party workers to violence while preparing for their original gathering. PTI leaders, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, claimed routes were deliberately blocked and workers detained, intensifying political tensions. The Sindh government has warned that rallies on public roads are not permitted. This comes amid PTI’s broader street mobilisation drive across Sindh as supporters rally around freedom of assembly and protest rights.
