Karnataka stares at water crisis amid deficient monsoon

Karnataka's 14 major reservoirs are holding 419.35 TMC ft of water as of July 24, making it the second-lowest storage level recorded for this time of year in the last six years. Only 2023 saw lower reserves, when storage dropped to 371.07 TMC ft, raising fresh concerns over water availability as the monsoon season continues.
