More than 2,000 people have reportedly been killed in Iran amid a violent security crackdown on nationwide protests, according to human rights group HRANA. The US-based agency said at least 1,850 protesters have died along with government affiliates, civilians and children. Amid an ongoing internet blackout, Iranian officials blame “terrorists” for the unrest. President Donald Trump said support for Iranians is “on its way” as he prepares for a meeting on the crisis.
