India has become the world's largest recipient of remittances for the fourth year running. Indians abroad sent home $135.4 billion in FY25, nearly ₹13 trillion. That's up 14 percent from the previous year's $129 billion. This single inflow is bigger than India's foreign direct investment and larger than foreign portfolio investment.
