French Farmers Protest Mercosur Deal, Demand Fair Trade

French farmers are preparing a wave of protests against a controversial trade agreement. The farmers argue that the deal between the EU and Mercosur block of countries threatens their livelihood. They claim that the deal allows a surge of South American agricultural imports produced under less stringent environmental standards.
