<p>A massive crack, visible to the naked eye, forced a North Carolina amusement park to shut down one of its roller coasters. A man spotted a large crack, which led the support beam to move out of place when a car ran on it with people on the ride.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In a Facebook post on Friday, Jeremy Wagner said that he discovered the crack in the Fury 325 giga roller coaster at the Carowinds amusement park and notified officials. The Fury 325 is one of the tallest and longest rides.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It was temporarily closed after the complaint and a spokesperson for Carowinds told Fox News Digital that the roller coaster was being inspected by the park's maintenance team. Carowinds is located outside of Charlotte.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The park said that the "tallest, fastest, longest giga coaster in North America" will remain closed until inspections and repairs take place.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As quoted, the spokesperson said in a statement: "Carowinds closed Fury 325 after park personnel became aware of a crack at the top of a steel support pillar."&nbsp;</p>

<p>It further added, "The park’s maintenance team is conducting a thorough inspection and the ride will remain closed until repairs have been completed."&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Safety is our top priority and we appreciate the patience and understanding of our valued guests during this process. As part of our comprehensive safety protocols, all rides, including Fury 325, undergo daily inspections to ensure their proper functioning and structural integrity," the statement added.</p>

<p>Giving a modern twist to Disney's classic tale of "Beauty and the Beast", a man in Mexico's small town has married an alligator. Victor Hugo Sosa, mayor of the town San Pedro Huamelula walked down the aisle with his seven-year-old 'beautiful' alligator bride, dressed in white, and completed all the ceremonies.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sosa seemed truly in love as he obliged more than once during the wedding festivities to bend down and seal a kiss on the alligator's snout.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the wedding may seem bizarre to many, it is an age-old tradition in the town which dates back centuries to pre-Hispanic times.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Among Oaxaca state's Chontal and Huave indigenous communities, the ritual is like a prayer to the gods, pleading for nature's bounty.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As quoted by media reports, Sosa said during the ritual: "I accept responsibility because we love each other. That is what is important. You can't have a marriage without love... I yield to marriage with the princess girl."&nbsp;</p>

<p>Despite being situated in Mexico's poor south region, Oaxaca has maintained its rich indigenous culture, through the years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The ritual, which previously had indigenous flavour only, has taken a modern spin by mixing Catholic spirituality as well.</p>

<p>The wedding involved dressing the alligator in a white wedding dress and embellishing it with colourful garments and accessories.</p>

<p>Locals carried the reptile, whose mouth had been shut seal, through the streets of&nbsp;San Pedro Huamelula, while men waved their hats and trumpets played before the ceremony.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The seven-year-old alligator is referred to as little princess - a deity representing Mother Earth and her marriage to the local leader symbolises joining the union of humans with the divine.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The residents who attended the colourful ceremony danced to traditional music and devoured the delicious food.&nbsp;</p>

Among Oaxaca state's Chontal and Huave indigenous communities, the ritual is like a prayer to the gods, pleading for nature's bounty. As quoted by media reports, Sosa said during the ritual: "I accept responsibility because we love each other. That is what is important. You can't have a marriage without love... I yield to marriage with the princess girl." Despite being situated in Mexico's poor south region, Oaxaca has maintained its rich indigenous culture, through the years. <p>In a surprising move, the company has scheduled two expeditions, set to take place in 2024. The first trip&nbsp;will take place from June 12 to June 20 while the second will be conducted between June 21 and Jun 29, according to the website.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The cost of each trip is set at $250,000 per person, covering one submersible dive, private accommodations, training and expedition gear, as well as meals on board. Wi-fi facility will be provided onboard so that participants can remain connected throughout the eight-day expedition.</p>

<p>The website displays exotic pictures of the deep blue water and promises an adventure of a lifetime, exploring the Titanic, located&nbsp;3,800 meters below the surface of the Atlantic coast of Canada. The only condition is that the participants must be at least 17 years or older.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The announcement of future excursions by the company comes days after US Navy declared that all five aboard the submersible, including OceaGate CEO Stockton Rush, died in the accident. Since then, law enforcement authorities are trying to ascertain if the case warrants a criminal investigation.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Twitter has applied temporary reading limits to address "extreme levels" of data scraping and system manipulation, Elon Musk said in a post on the social media platform on Saturday.</p>

<p>Verified accounts are temporarily limited to reading 6,000 posts a day, Musk said, adding that the unverified accounts and new unverified accounts are limited to reading 600 posts a day and 300 posts per day respectively.</p>

<p>In what comes as good news for passengers, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has altered its rule of a total prohibition on carrying alcohol in the trains. According to a new circular released by DMRC, passengers will be allowed to carry up to two sealed alcohol bottles inside the premises and the coaches.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“Two sealed bottles of alcohol per person is allowed to be carried on the Delhi Metro at par with the provisions on the Airport Express Line," read the official notification.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The decision was taken after a committee comprising officials from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) (the agency responsible for the security of the Delhi Metro) reviewed an earlier order. The previous diktat stated that carrying alcohol was only allowed on the Airport Express Line, also referred to as the Orange Line.</p>

<p>"A committee comprising officials from CISF and DMRC have reviewed the earlier order. As per an earlier order, carrying of alcohol was banned in the Delhi Metro except on the Airport Express Line."</p>

<p>DMRC, however, asserted that the consumption of alcohol within the metro premises remains strictly prohibited and suitable action will be taken if anyone is found in violation of it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"However, drinking alcohol inside Metro premises is strictly prohibited. Metro passengers are requested to maintain proper decorum while travelling. In case, any passenger is found behaving in an indecent manner under the influence of alcohol, suitable action shall be taken under the relevant provisions of law."</p>

Cleavers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, cutleries, daggers, knives, swords and other sharp objects are also on the list. Animals and other pets are also not allowed to board the metro.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He said the airport would be fully responsible for the woman’s medical costs and would be open to negotiations regarding other compensation.</p>

<p>The medical team at the hospital informed Karun that they could not reattach her leg, but the woman requested to be transferred to another hospital to assess the possibility, he said.</p>

A suitcase lying near her was missing two wheels, and the yellow comb-like plates were seen broken off from where they typically cover the edge of the belt where the moving walkway ends.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Karun said the suitcase wheels were found underneath the belt, but it was unclear how it might relate to the accident. He said walkways at the airport were checked daily, with an additional monthly inspection. He said the walkway had been closed and a team of engineers was inspecting it to determine the cause of the incident.&nbsp;</p>

The incredible trick was pulled by Trew when she was taking part in the Tony Hawk Vert Alert competition in Salt Lake City, Utah on Saturday.</p>

<p>A teacher who avoided going to work for over 20 years using sick leaves, holidays and permits to attend other businesses has finally been sacked by her employers. Described as Italy's worst-ever employee, Cinzia Paolina De Lio managed to collect pay cheques for the better part of the last two decades while remaining absent at work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>56-year-old Cinzia was employed at a secondary school near Venice to teach literature and philosophy. However, she only showed up for four out of the 24 years she worked there to teach the students.</p>

<p>The disgraced teacher was finally sacked on June 22, according to Daily Mail. Italy's highest&nbsp;court confirmed her ouster by stating her absences showed a "permanent and absolute ineptitude".</p>

<p>On the rare occasion that Cinzia did turn up to work, she ignored the students, made up lessons on the spot and borrowed textbooks as she couldn't be bothered to bring them. Reportedly, students went on strike one time after&nbsp;Cinzia handed out marks that had no connection to the work handed in. She remained distracted while conducting oral exams and sent text messages instead.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After being sacked by the school,&nbsp;Cinzia said she will tell her side of the story. However, in what can be only called an irony, she refused to entertain the&nbsp;journalists asking questions, saying she was at the 'beach'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Sorry, but right now I'm at the beach," she told&nbsp;Repubblica newspaper, adding that she had documents to prove her side of the story.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I will reconstruct the truth of the facts of this absolutely unique and surreal story. I don't answer questions from journalists thrown around that wouldn't do justice to the truth of my story."</p>

<p>Notably, Cinzia is not the first such&nbsp;employee to have emerged from the European nation. In 2021, an individual named&nbsp;Salvatore Scumace, a hospital worker was accused of taking home more than $648,000 in pay, despite having never turned up for work in 15 years.&nbsp;</p>

<p>66-year-old&nbsp;Scumace was assigned to work in the fire emergency operations of the Pugliese Ciaccio hospital, in the city of Catanzaro, Calabria. However, apart from turning up on the first day to sign the documents of his employment, he never showed up and quietly cashed in the cheques.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When a manager caught a whiff of Scumace's elaborate scam, he resorted to threatening them and their family.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A woman aboard one of Royal Caribbean cruise ships had a lucky escape after she fell down the 10th deck of the ship and into the water, roughly&nbsp;27 nautical miles south of Punta Cana in the Caribbean Sea on Sunday.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 42-year-old unnamed passenger, a US resident, plunged into the water but managed to survive, following a dramatic hour-long rescue operation where the cruise ship 'Mariner of the Seas' rescue crew quickly jumped into service.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The crew quickly dispatched a small rescue boat and managed to locate the woman in the vast ocean and safely brought her back on board. The entire incident was caught on camera by the passengers who cheered the woman and the safety crew.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to reports, after the woman fell into the water, passengers used binoculars to help the ship's crew locate the woman.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"After we saw the life rafts or the life preservers and the smoke – I was like, someone just died," said Matthew Kuhn who was on the cruise with his family. and posted the live updates on Twitter</p>

<p>"I think it was amazing to see everyone was on their balcony. Everyone was trying to help, and the crew was very receptive to everyone."</p>

<p>He was&nbsp;celebrating with students from University High Lab School in Baton Rouge when he fell from the Blackbeard’s Revenge sunset cruise at about 11.30 pm. After two days of intense search-and-rescue operations, the US Coast Guard ultimately suspended the search for the teenager.&nbsp;</p>
