On Thursday (Apr 17), a California court revived her defamation lawsuit against Tesla, which had previously been dismissed.
"He is pure evil," Balan told Times Radio. "I started this lawsuit to prove my innocence and to prove how vindictive this monster is".

Balan said she emailed Musk directly &mdash; as he reportedly encouraged employees to do &mdash; about serious issues, including "hundreds of defects per car." But instead of action, she said she was pushed out by Tesla's HR and legal teams.
"They forced me to resign. They told me that if I'm not resigning on the spot, they will deport my entire team, because the entire Tesla team, the entire interior team, was backing me up," Balan said.&nbsp;

The x-Tesla engineer claimed that "90 per cent" of employees who voiced concerns to Musk "got fired soon after".
<h2>Ongoing legal battle</h2>
Balan already won a wrongful dismissal case against Tesla. Now, her defamation suit &mdash; originally filed in 2019 &mdash; has been given a second chance by the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Tesla had accused Balan of using company resources for a "secret project," which would amount to embezzlement if true. Balan denies the charge and maintains her innocence.
Despite the recent court ruling, the case may still be delayed by arbitration due to a contract Balan signed while at Tesla.
Balan, who is in remission from stage-3B breast cancer, said her biggest fear is not getting her day in court.

Yet, being more aware about things and more educated on the issues globally than the millennial generation, Gen Z is also feeling tired, exhausted, and burnt out.
Let&rsquo;s take a look at what is happening here and break down what&rsquo;s fuelling this paradox.
<h2>Social media: The new classroom?</h2>
If you are Gen Z, there are chances that you have grown up with headlines about protests, the economy, politics, school shootings, crimes, and whatnot. And all of them, while scrolling Instagram or watching explainer videos on YouTube or other social media applications.

This generation doesn&rsquo;t wait for elections to stand up for causes or issues. They start movements like boycotting, organising protests, or more. But, all this comes with a cost.
Saria, a 22-year-old, says, social media has loaded them with a pile of information, and every now and then they get to hear or watch the same boring things all over the internet, making them feel politically tired, a state in which they no more have trust and confidence in the words of politicians, but are trying hard and taking a step forward and contributing to the service of society in different ways.
<h2>Is lack of change breeding &lsquo;activism fatigue&rsquo;?</h2>
Imagine you signed another petition, shared another social media post, and participated in some protests. But nothing changed. It feels like a loop, like a trap. Petitions disappear in the inbox, posts and reels go viral, but policies remain unchanged.
Gen Z now feels that not every vote counts, not every voice is heard, and not everyone matters.

The result? A generation that is politically aware and literate, but deeply sceptical and tired
&ldquo;Of course we&rsquo;re politically aware&mdash;how can we not be when social media constantly feeds us opinions and world events? But that same endless stream makes us politically tired, too. You get comfortable in your echo chamber, overwhelmed by everything, and sometimes you just don&rsquo;t want to engage anymore,&rdquo; said Sanchit Gulati, a youth.
On the other hand, some believe that Gen Z may not be the most politically active generation.

They may know about events but lack context and depth,&rdquo; said Mukul Sharma.
&ldquo;Gen Z seems more interested in politics than involved. Being interested makes you an observer, whereas being involved means leading change. One reason could be the lack of leadership that truly represents them. The difference is that a person interested is an audience, and a person involved is a guiding force. There are many reasons for this. One is the choices in leadership, as there are minimal to no representatives of them in politics,&rdquo; opined Ronit Sawhney, another youngster.

A recent survey has revealed that social media personalities, including Andrew Tate, have a questionable impact on teenage boys and young children in school. As per the survey by teachers&rsquo; union NASUWT, as many s 59 per cent of teachers said that social media negatively impacts students' behaviour. In the poll, of more than 5,800 NASUWT members in the UK in January, teachers shared surprising incidents of bad behaviour of children inspired by Tate.&nbsp;

The survey said the issue affects primarily the female staff in the schools. &nbsp;According to the research, female teachers are more likely to regularly receive verbal abuse than male staff, with 27.3% of female teachers reporting verbal abuse several times a week and 14.3% reporting it daily, versus 20.4% and 9.8% of male teachers, the agency reported.&nbsp;

Speaking about Tate&rsquo;s influence in the classroom, one teacher told the survey: &ldquo;I have had boys refuse to speak to me and speak to a male teaching assistant instead because I am a woman and they follow Andrew Tate and think he is amazing with all his cars and women and how women should be treated. These were 10-year-olds," The Mirror reported.&nbsp;
