"I love storytelling, I love theatrical things, I like directing and filmmaking, but I just want them to, you know, really to go for other things." The 'Aquaman' star went on to reveal why he doesn't want them to pursue acting. Momoa told ET, "If they (really) want to, maybe," adding, "But I don't want them to get into acting. It's very hard on people and I don't want them to have that pressure. I'm tough, I can handle it, but I wouldn't want to put someone I love (through) that." The 'Aquaman' actor shares daughter Lola, 14, and son Nakoa-Wolf, 12½, with wife Lisa Bonet. The couple is married since 2017.

Two feature films dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on peoples` lives and the economy will on Friday open the Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF), the largest film showcase in a region spreading from Vienna to Istanbul.

Last year's festival was pushed online due to the pandemic. This one will open to audiences at a number of new screening sites in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings, with nearly a third of locations set in the open air.

"This year`s festival will be a hybrid one - it will mean a great comeback of the audience into the cinema while a major part of the industry business will be conducted online," SFF founder and director Mirsad Purivatra told Reuters.

'Not So Friendly Neighbourhood Affair' by Oscar-winning Bosnian director Danis Tanovic, a low-budget film that was shot in May and hastily finished to be shown at the festival, is a light-hearted story of two businessmen from the same Sarajevo neighbourhood who become unlikely rivals in post-corona times.
Omnibus 'Letters from the Ends of the World' collects video stories from across the world in which 13 authors, graduates of the Sarajevo film factory run by Hungarian film director Bela Tarr, tell their experiences of lockdown and isolation during the pandemic.
"After a year of isolation, it was a quite logical choice to open the festival with two films touching upon the isolation," Purivatra said.
Forty-eight films will compete in four selections - features, short films, documentaries and student films - for the Heart of Sarajevo award.
Eight out of 10 films competing for the best feature are debut films, with eight female directors.

In a latest new report, it has been revealed that the The Toronto Film Festival (TIFF) has issued a demand that Hollywood stars attending its upcoming 2022 edition to launch their latest movies must mask up at all times—from theaters to affiliated venues. The only time they get to take thwir masks off is when they get on stage or while sashaying down the red carpet.

“Talent will be required to wear a mask at all times at TIFF Festival venues and TIFF-provided vehicles. The only exceptions include when talent are on the red carpet and on stage,” the festival said in a statement as it unveiled its COVID-19 list of protocols for talents, rights holders, media and the overall industry for its upcoming edition starting September 9 to 18.

TIFF has also asked for proof of vaccination to gain entry into festival venues as Canada has begun allowing entry only to fully vaccinated Americans starting on August 9.

Any talent attending the festival will be required to do a PCR test within 72 hours of arriving in Canada, and every 48 hours until their departure.

Teams accompanying a film’s talent and director will require proof of a negative PCR test to gain entry to movie premieres, press conferences, ceremonies and other affiliated events.

Media attending TIFF in person will have to follow similar rules and regulations.

The 2021 Toronto Film Festival will allow limited in-person film screenings and will follow last year’s hybrid model wherein TIFF had first introduced its digital screening platform to comply with safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organizers are stricter with the mask-wearing, social distancing and COVID testing rules to get more Americans and other international filmmakers, media and other industry attendees to the Canadian festival.

TIFF plans to screen around 100 films during their 2021 edition, starting with Stephen Chbosky’s ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ kicking off the 46th Toronto Film Festival as the opening night film at Roy Thomson Hall.

The film festival will reportedly limit talent entourages, too. A talent can arrive at the festival with an entourage of 20 people for a photo call, red carpets, backstage or green room areas, and a maximum of ten people will be allowed on stage at TIFF theaters for premieres, including TIFF execs introducing films.

He may be a Hollywood superstar but Hugh Jackman says he could not believe his latest leading role was written specifically for him. "In my head, I was like `Oh, Brad Pitt turned down the part, right?`," Jackman joked about his role in the sci-fi thriller 'Reminiscence'.
"I said `yes` before I read the script," the Australian actor said as he joined his co-stars Rebecca Ferguson and Thandiwe Newton and the film`s writer and director Lisa Joy on a socially distanced blue carpet premiere in London on Wednesday night.

Tom Cruise has been making headlines ever since his leaked recording of admonishing ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ crew over their failure to follow Covid protocols. But, that’s just how Tom Cruise works… reportedly!

In an interview with an entertainment portal, Cruise’s ‘The Mummy’ co-star Jake Johnson commented on the notorious recording, saying “Yeah, he’s an intense guy.”

“I mean, all he wants to do in a film — I cannot make any statements of the man outside of it because I don’t know him that well — but in terms of a filmmaker, he wants to entertain an audience, and if you’re not all about that, you’re gonna get knocked off the Bronco, because he is there to entertain an audience and he’s willing to really put himself in harm’s way to do it,” Johnson was quoted as saying.

“If you don’t love it as much as him, you’re not at the party… So while I was working with him, it was just all — you wake up early, you go to the gym before you shoot so that you’re like ready to go. It was just… I’d never worked with somebody like that,” the actor added.

Johnson also spoke about how he had landed the ‘The Mummy’ gig. “I got a really random call, did I want to be in The Mummy franchise with Tom Cruise, and my first thought was, ‘No. Not a chance,'. The reason I was hesitant on The Mummy is Tom Cruise is an intimidating figure, and especially because I had to do action sequences with him. And I’m like, ‘Look, I’ll do action sequences with an actor who likes stunt doubles.’ That’s not him.”

As for the leaked audio controversy, in December of last year, a renowned media house had published audio from the ‘Mission: Impossible film’ U.K. set where Cruise could be heard lambasting crew members who had broken the production’s COVID social distancing safety protocols.

The star was recorded saying he didn’t ‘ever want to see it again’ and if the production crew didn’t abide by safety procedures, ‘you’re fired’.

‘Matrix 4’ has been making a lot of noise lately, and all for the right reasons.

The Keanu Reeves-starrer—with an impressive extended cast comprising Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Jada Pinkett Smith, Neil Patrick Harris, among others—began filming last year in March; just before the pandemic started ravaging through countries and lockdowns were being imposed for public safety.

It so happened that around the time franchise patriarch Keanu Reeves was shooting his scenes for ‘Matrix 4’ in San Francisco, ‘The Trail of the Chicago 7’ actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen was also present to film his part.

Mateen couldn’t have believed he was in ‘Matrix 4’ until Keanu Reeves walked in.

“I remember Keanu and his first line. I looked up, and there was Keanu, and I said, ‘Oh shit, I’m really in The Matrix’. It was just Keanu in that voice. And the technology that Lana incorporated and the filmmaking, camera rigs that I’ve never seen before. It’s so ambitious. It was really interesting to be making The Matrix 4 at a time when the world was so warped and when reality was so distorted. It could creep in a little bit if you let it,” the actor reportedly told an entertainment portal during an interview.

For the uninitiated, the film's shooting was halted in March and was again resumed in Berlin.

Speaking about his experience of being back on a film set, Keanu Reeves had told a global news agency, “It’s great. It’s an honor to be working. I’m in Berlin, you can hear the sirens. You know, there’s some really thoughtful, effective protocols in place. The rhythm of filmmaking has been not really impacted or interrupted.”

Given, ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is one of the richest work of art Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has ever made but the director expected his leading ladies—Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (then Chopra)—to be catty on the sets, reports an Indian daily.

The ace director reportedly said, “I was expecting their chairs to be back-to-back, making catty remarks about each other. I wanted some drama to unfold. Instead, they were like giggly schoolgirls. I wanted them to be competitive in the song ‘Pinga’.”

“I know both of them are competitive in their minds. I told them…it’s not that you both are really all plain Jane and simple, so show me that. But they didn’t budge. Sigh! So, I said… go ahead and gossip about your shopping,” he went on to add.

Actor Lara Dutta, who will be seen essaying the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the upcoming film `Bellbottom`, recently gave us a sneak peek into her terrific transformation for the role.

Taking to her Instagram account, Lara had posted a video in which we can see her make-up team changing her look with the help of prosthetics.

"Never had I imagined portraying a personality this pivotal and when I saw how this transformation translated on the screen, everything felt surreal and worth it. Can`t wait for y`all to watch my performance in #BellBottom," she captioned the post.

Now the former Miss Universe (2000) is making headlines for what she had said during the promotion of her aforementioned film.

While talking about ‘Bollywood couple’ rumours that she believes could actually be true, Lara reportedly told a news channel, “I might say something about some couple and I wouldn't even know if they are still together or not. I am an older generation yaar.”

When asked about her take on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s allegedly impending marriage date, Lara said, “I believe that they are getting married this year.”

I am an older generation yaar.” When asked about her take on Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s allegedly impending marriage date, Lara said, “I believe that they are getting married this year.” Interestingly, Alia Bhatt, too, had posted a picture of herself wearing her boyfriend’s cap and wrote, “When you miss him so you steal his belongings (and make sure you take many selfies).” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Alia Bhatt ☀️ (@aliaabhatt) × On the work front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen together in Ayan Mukerji's ‘Brahmastra’. Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde are the latest ‘it’ couple that’s everyone talking about in Hollywood, and the world over! Recently, the 27-year-old singer and 37-year-old actress were spotted walking hand in hand around Los Feliz, CA before they enjoyed a casual lunch date together, reports say. The couple looked cute as they sported matching outfit and accessories: white shirts, ripped jeans, and hats. Interestingly, the duo met on the set of their movie 'Don't Worry Darling', which stars Harry and Olivia directed. If that wasn’t a sign, we don’t know what is! Harry and Olivia sparked dating rumours when then attended the singer’s agent’s wedding together earlier this year. Since then, however, they have kept a low profile and barely stepped out together for dates and outings. In July, the duo did whish away to Italy where they were spotted spending their day on a yacht. The pictures from that vacay was laden with PDA moments. In her latest post on Instagram, Sarah Jessica Parker—who reprises the role of Carrie Bradshaw for ‘Sex And The City’ spin-off, ‘And Just Like That’—shared new glimpses of Carrie and Big’s (Chris Noth) apartment in the upcoming, highly anticipated spin-off. On Thursday, SJP—as she is famously called—shared a carousal of photos from the set of ‘And Just Like That’ that comprises a ‘Sex And The City’ book, Carrie’s new laptop, production staffers working and of course, a section of the apartment itself! “Backlot. Stage. Married domicile. They build. They shoot. They make sure story is heard. They make our day (sic),” Parker captioned her slideshow.
Hollywood actress Maggie Q may have been recovering from a spine surgery while filming her action-thriller ‘The Protégé’—alongside Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson and others—but that did not stop her from doing her own stunts.

“I wish I trained. I had spine surgery, like major spine surgery two and a half months before I had to be on set,” the actress reportedly told a leading entertainment website.

Maggie went on to add that her doctor had told her she couldn't work for at least five months, but she'd already signed on to the movie and told him she would have to defy his orders. “He goes, 'But I don't want you to,' and I go, 'But I'm going to.' He was sweating and upset, and so, we had that little exchange and he knew that was it, he couldn't convince me.”

The actress went to the set of ‘The Protégé’ assuming everyone knew about her recent medical rhistory, but that was not the case. “I went from like bed rest into rehearsals and I assumed everyone was aware of what had just happened to me. I said to the coordinator, 'So I just had this surgery and it was really, really hard on my body, so all that neck stuff, we're going to have to change it,'" she details. "And he goes, 'What surgery?' And I was like, 'No one told you that I had spine surgery?' And I've never seen a grown man want to cry in that way so immediately.”

However, Maggie managed to pull off almost all of her stunts—98 per cent of them, she reportedly said. “There are a couple of things I didn't do for safety reasons but they weren't big things. Sometimes there are things you don't not do because you can't do them but because you shouldn't do them... We have to pick and choose our battles for insurance reasons and just to be safe and healthy,” said Maggie Q.

“You don't want to do things that are stupid. When I was in my 20s and started in Hollywood, I was stupid. Super stupid. I would want to do things that were absolutely ridiculous risk-wise. J.J. Abrams was like holding me down, like, 'Absolutely no way are you doing this stunt,' and then my double did it, and she's one of the best in the business and she broke her ankle. So you got to have boundaries,” concluded the actor.
