The temple is central to the beliefs of Hindus and has been built after a long legal process which culminated with the decision by the five-judge bench .&nbsp;

Under the unanimous verdict, the land upon which the Babri masjid was razed was given to the Hindu side while the Muslims were granted a piece of land to build a mosque, far away from the contentious spot.&nbsp;

In the 1,045-page verdict, the court stated that "on a balance&nbsp;probabilities, the evidence of possessory claim of the Hindus...stands on a better footing than the evidence given by the Muslims."

The grand event is set to witness the ceremonial installation of Ram Lalla's idol, and preparations are in full swing.

Leaders from 55 countries, spanning continents such as Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, have been invited to the Ram Temple event.

Notable among the invitees is the Korean Queen, who claims to be Prabhu Shree&nbsp;Ram's Vanshaj (descendant of Lord Ram). The guest list includes dignitaries from countries like Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the USA, and many others.

VHP Joint General Secretary Swami Vigyananand stated that these international dignitaries will arrive in Lucknow on January 20 and proceed to Ayodhya on January 21.

Due to potential weather challenges, the foreign delegates have been urged to arrive in India before the event.

In a video posted on X, on Tuesday (Jan 9), the chiefs of the Puri and Joshimath shrines announced that none of the four Shankaracharyas would be attending the inauguration since it would not adhere to the religious scriptures as the temple was being consecrated before construction was completed.

Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the 46th Shankaracharya of Jyotir Mutt, also stressed that the decision should not be interpreted as being “anti-Modi,” but rather it was made because they didn’t want to be “anti-shastras”.&nbsp;

He also said that it is the shankaracharyas’ duty to follow religious scriptures and ensure that they are being followed properly.

“The scriptures are being undermined by carrying out consecration before the construction of the temple is complete. There is no reason for this rush,” said Avimukteshwaranand.&nbsp;

He further asserted that it is a bad idea to inaugurate an incomplete temple and install the idol of the god.

“The biggest problem is that the pran pratishtha (consecration) is being done when the temple is still incomplete,” Avimukteshwaranand added.

<h2>'Inauguration is being turned into political show'</h2>

Earlier this month, Nischalananda Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the shrine in Puri, said he would skip the ceremony because he was “conscious of the dignity of his position”. &nbsp;

“What will I do there? While (Indian Prime Minister Narendra) Modiji inaugurates and touches the idol, will I stand there and clap? I don’t want a position. I already have the biggest one…But what will shankaracharyas do there?” asked Saraswati.&nbsp;

In a separate interview, he also questioned why so many politicians were expected to be there for the inauguration.

“It’s the responsibility of priests and sadhus to consecrate Lord Rama’s idol. Why are so many politicians expected to be present?," said&nbsp;Saraswati in the Indian city of Raipur, on Friday (Jan 5).&nbsp;

“It’s because of the upcoming general elections the event is being made so splendid. It’s not appropriate…” he added.

News agency PTI shared a video showcasing the display of these ‘laddoos’ specially arranged in trays, spelling out the holy chant of ‘Jai Shree Ram’ both in English and Hindi. These trays have been arranged in a hall dedicated to the preparation of laddoos.

The confectioners are working round the clock to ensure the sweet treats are prepared on time. They are expected to work throughout February to ensure all devotees visiting the temple even after the grand consecration are given the holy prasad package.

The shelf life of these laddoos is four months. The confectioners are reportedly making about 1200 kgs of laddoos per day.

Ratan Lal Agarwal, a confectioner, mentioned that all guests will receive prasad, including laddoos, a book, jhola, and a chunni adorned with the name ‘Ram’. VIPs at the ceremony on January 22 will additionally get a specially designed tiffin box featuring Lord Ram's sticker and a depiction of the Ayodhya Temple.

“First, they will be offered to Lord Ram Lala in a silver plate as prasad. This Prasad will be given to the VIPs who come after the Bhog,” media reports quoted sources as saying.

In response to a plea from the Mauritius Sanatan Dharma Temples Federation to Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, Mauritius has approved a two-hour special break for public officials of Hindu faith to participate in prayer and observation during the Ram temple consecration ceremony on January 22,&nbsp;he said as he spoke exclusively from Mauritius with WION's Principal Diplomatic Correspondent Sidhant Sibal.

Mauritius was built on the strength of the labour of Indian immigrants. When the Ram Mandir construction started, citizens of Mauritius, on their own, contributed financially. Govt did not, but individuals, associations, mandirs have sent modest contributions, but it has been sent. So much build up, and the age of truce, and this is happening.&nbsp;

Top leaders of the Indian National Congress (INC), including former party president Sonia Gandhi, have declined the invitation to attend the Ram Mandir consecration ceremony due to be held in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. In an official release, the Congress said that invites were sent to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of Congress party in Lok Sabha.

The official release issued by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that top Congress leaders 'respectfully declined' to attend the ceremony, and heavily criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for making a 'political project' of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

"...Lord Ram is worshipped by millions in our country. Religion is a personal matter. But the RSS/BJP have long made a political project of the temple in Ayodhya...," says the release.

The Congress has alleged that the inauguration of the 'incomplete temple' has been brought forward by the ruling party 'for electoral gains' and that the consecration ceremony is 'an RSS/BJP event'.

It has a capacity of 12,000 litres, and 7,000 kg of halwa can be made in it. A crane is required to lift it. The spatula, weighing 10 to 12 kg,&nbsp;has holes in it so that it is easy to cook,” the chef told ANI.&nbsp;

He has done immense work under his tenure. This is not politics. This is his devotion," the chief priest of Ram Temple said.

The consecration ceremony of Ayodhya's Ram Mandir will be held over seven days, starting on January 16 according to temple officials. On the final day, January 22, after the morning puja, the deity of Ram Lalla will be consecrated in 'Mrigashira Nakshatra' in the afternoon.

The chief priest’s reaction came in response to Uddhav Thackeray’s allegations on the BJP-ruled central government that the saffron party is ‘politicising’ the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. Entry and exit: The temple's entrance will be from the east side, with the exit situated on the south side. The temple's superstructure, eventually reaching three stories, will span the entire complex.

Architectural style: The temple complex is built in the traditional Nagara style, boasting a width of 250 feet and a height of 161 feet. Each floor of the temple will be 20 feet high, adorned with 392 pillars and 44 gates.

Unique percota design: In a departure from the norm, the Ram Temple will feature a 14-foot wide percota, spanning an impressive 732 metres.&nbsp;

According to Trust, the shrine will be built by adhering to the country's ancient and traditional construction techniques. It will also be built to sustain earthquakes, storms and other natural calamities.
