<p>England beat Pakistan by eight wickets in the third and final Test in Karachi Tuesday to sweep the series 3-0 and hand the Pakistanis their first home whitewash.</p>

<p>Resuming on 112-2, England reached the modest 167-run target in just 38 minutes, with Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes finishing unbeaten on 82 and 35 respectively.</p>

<p>England won the first Test in Rawalpindi by 74 runs and the second in Multan by 26 runs. This was England's first Test tour of Pakistan since 2005, having refused to tour the South Asian country in the years since because of security concerns.</p>

<p>Duckett cracked his 12th boundary off fast bowler Mohammad Wasim to seal the victory on the fourth day, with England finishing on 170-2. Agha Salman dropped Stokes off-spinner Abrar Ahmed with the English captain on 22 and just 19 needed for victory.</p>

<p>With nine wins in their last 10 matches, England have vindicated their newly adopted freewheeling approach to Test cricket dubbed "Bazball", after the nickname of coach Brendon McCullum.</p>

<p>McCullum and Stokes took charge of a misfiring side in May that had won just one of their previous 17 Tests, including a 4-0 humiliation in the Ashes in Australia.</p>

<p>England played power-packed cricket right from the start of the Pakistan tour, smashing 506-4 to set a record for the most team runs on the opening day of a Test.</p>

<p>Four batters Zak Crawley, Ollie Pope, Harry Brook and Duckett scored hundreds that day, another record.</p>

<p>Stokes was also bold in his captaincy, setting a tantalising 343-run target for Pakistan in Rawalpindi and then setting unusual fields to get wickets.</p>

<p>Pakistan's problems were compounded by injuries to their fast bowlers, with Shaheen Shah Afridi ruled out before the series with a knee injury.</p>

<p>Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah missed the last two Tests with fitness problems.</p>

<p>But Pakistan suffered major batting collapses, losing their last six wickets for 108 in the first innings in Karachi and seven for 52 in the second.</p>

<p>Tuesday's defeat means it is also the first time Pakistan have lost four home Tests on the trot, having been beaten by Australia in Lahore in March.</p>

"She was so happy, she said she would come to Lahore to watch the game. When I woke up, the management came to me and said, 'your mom has passed away'," Naseem said.</p>

<p>Elaborating further, Naseem&nbsp;said not only was he affected mentally by this incident, but he also struggled outside of it too. Revealing that he was under medication after his mother's demise, Shah said,&nbsp;</p>

<p>"For the next six to eight months, I struggled so much. No one thinks about what's going on inside you. I used to have a lot of medicines, I saw my mom everywhere. I used to think about her a lot. Whenever you play for Pakistan, everyone expects performances from you. I had a lot of injuries during that time as well, so it was a tough time. I learned from it, though. I'm stronger now. My (Pakistan) debut was the toughest day of my life. I can manage when I'm not performing well now, because I know how tough it was."</p>

PAK vs ENG 2nd Test: England clinch historic series win after beating Pakistan by 26 runs

<p>Chasing a historic Test series victory on Pakistani soil, England were given a huge filip after&nbsp;Saud Shakeel was adjudged caught behind in a controversial manner. Chasing a stiff 352-run target, Pakistan's hopes were pinned on Saud Shakeel (94) who had stabilised the innings and was nearing his century.&nbsp;</p>

<p>However, during the final hour of the first session, captain Ben Stokes attempted to shake things up. He brought James Anderson and Mark Wood back into the attack.&nbsp;A charged-up Wood during his second spell of the day resorted to short-pitch bowling.</p>

<p>Mohammed Nawaz who had joined Shakeel after the dismissal of Ashraf, earlier in the day, was strangled down the leg, whilst attempting a pull.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Wood persisted with the line and ensnared Shakeel in a similar manner as the southpaw feathered the ball behind to a diving Ollie pope.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As the English side appealed loudly, umpire Aleem Dar made his way to colleague and square leg umpire Marais Erasmus to discuss the dismissal. Dar concurred that there was an edge but remained suspicious regarding the catch and if it was taken cleanly by Pope.</p>

<p>However, after the consultation, both umpires gave the 'Out' soft signal. The third umpire, despite multiple replays, could not ascertain if the ball had spilled out of the gloves or not.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the laws, unless there is conclusive evidence to turn the on-field decision, the third umpire sticks with the original call. In this case, the soft signal was 'Out' and Joel Wilson decided to stick&nbsp;with the same.</p>

This has come forward only&nbsp;two weeks after the opposition member of the Sri Lankan parliament Nalin Bandara had made such an&nbsp;allegation&nbsp;for the home series that ended in a 1-1 stalemate. The match under the scanner is the series opener, where Pakistan rode on opener&nbsp;Abdullah Shafique's 160 to chase down 342 with four wickets in hand.</p>

<p>A statement from SCL said, "The executive committee of SLC decided today to invite Mr Alex Marshall, the General Manager of the ICC anti corruption unit to Sri Lanka to investigate recent allegations of match fixing made by a parliamentarian regarding the recently concluded Pakistan tour."</p>

While he rates Pandya highly, Butt believes Rohit wouldn't have been questioned had he scored some runs with the bat in the recently-concluded T20 World Cup in Australia.</p>

<p>"I don't know who is seeing him as captain and who is watching such dreams. He has talent and has tasted success in the IPL. But even Rohit Sharma has been successful five to six times in the IPL. If he had scored well in a couple of matches (in the T20 World Cup 2022), people wouldn't have been talking about making this change at the top," Butt said in a video on his YouTube channel.</p>

<p>"In the Asian subcontinent, people start talking about such drastic and big changes rather soon. Not all of them, but quite a few, who probably don't understand how these things work. Sometimes, just for the sake of giving an opinion, people say, 'change the captain'," he added.</p>

However, it seems PCB is in no mood to take all this lightly anymore and will take stern actions if any comment is deemed&nbsp;defamatory, offensive, personal, false and damaging to Pakistan cricket.</p>

We felt like home here, got great support at every venue. Thanks for your support. Yes, we lost the first two games but how we came in the last four games was incredible. I just told the boys to play our natural game, but we fell 20 runs short and the boys fought well with the ball. Our bowling is one of the best attacks in the world. I just told the boys to play our natural game, but we fell 20 runs short and the boys fought well with the ball. Our bowling is one of the best attacks in the world. "The difference [in the final as compared to the semi-final] is that England are in a comprehensive position, their confidence will be sky-rocketing. England know Pakistan bowlers are not like India. They will have to work hard to win, they won't get a walkover," Akhtar said in a video speaking about the T20 World Cup 2022 final. Pakistan have the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and Mohammad Wasim Jr who have delivered the goods with the ball for them in the tournament so far. All four pacers are part of Pakistan's playing XI in the ongoing final and will be hopeful of winning the game for their team.
