A month before the Oscar Awards 2026, nearly 230 nominees across 24 categories gathered for the Academy's annual luncheon on Tuesday in Los Angeles and posed for a group photo. The nominees were also briefed about the big ceremony next month.

The Academy of  Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will no longer host in-person screenings of films for its members. The decision was announced in January this year in an email to all its members. However, objections have been raised by some members now, ahead of Oscars 2026.
