Her attempted cross was put into the goal by India's Deep Grace Ekka. GB's Sarah Robertson scored again by smashing a diving backhand strike in off the left post. They got a two-goal advantage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>India also made attempts to bridge the gap and finally got a breakthrough when Gurjit scored with the help of a perfectly placed penalty corner drag-flick. Moments later, Gurjit struck again to level the score with the help of an excellent penalty corner drag-flick.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Two Belarusian coaches have been stripped of their Tokyo Olympics accreditations over an alleged attempt to force a sprinter to fly home, an incident that drew international condemnation.</p>

<p>The International Olympic Committee on Friday said it had removed the accreditations of Artur Shimak and Yury Maisevich and they had left the Olympic Village.</p>

<p>The body said this week that it was investigating the pair over their role in the case of Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, who sought protection at a Tokyo airport to avoid being put on a plane home.</p>

<p>She said she feared for her life if forced back to Belarus, which has been wracked by political upheaval and a crackdown on dissent after disputed elections that returned strongman Alexander Lukashenko to power last year.</p>

<p>Tsimanouskaya, 24, arrived in Warsaw on Wednesday after being granted a humanitarian visa, saying she was "happy to be in safety".</p>

<p>The row blew up after Tsimanouskaya, who was entered in the 100 and 200 metres, complained about being entered into the 4x400m relay without being consulted.</p>

<p>She said she was "surprised that the situation became such a political scandal because it started out as a sporting issue", adding that&nbsp;"she was "not thinking about political asylum" in EU member Poland.</p>

<p>"I just want to pursue my sporting career," Tsimanouskaya said.</p>

<p>The alleged attempt to return Tsimanouskaya to Belarus has prompted condemnation, with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken accusing Minsk of "another act of transnational repression".</p>

Under pressure from Olympics organisers and after a public outcry, the club changed its rules and in 2018 admitted three women as full members, Hirayama among them. Around 200 women are associate members, either relatives of men who are members of "weekday" members themselves.<br />

"I never felt that I was discriminated against or anything like that," Hirayama, who is also a board member of the International Golf Federation and the Japan Golf Association, told Reuters on the sidelines of the Olympic golf.<br />

It was "nothing special" to be able to play any day of the week, she said, adding that she nonetheless enjoyed it.<br />

Despite giving fierce fight against Great Britain, India lost 3-4 in the bronze medal match on Friday (August 6), however, the Rani Rampal-led team has been hailed as they managed to record its best-ever finish at the Games. The team had already scripted history by entering the semi-finals of the Games for the first time but a medal would have been a monumental moment for the team and also for the nation. <p>India's star weightlifter Mirabai Chanu has opened up on how Prime Minister Narendra Modi helped her to reach the Tokyo Games 2020 and&nbsp;in recovering from an injury.</p>

<p>Chanu revealed that PM Modi "helped" with a ticket for the US flight in one day to train there and undergo rehabilitation. The 26-year-old won a silver medal in Weightlifting Women's 49kg category at Tokyo Games.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"It's true that Prime Minister Narendra Modi helped me reach Tokyo 2020 Olympics after my injury. <p>After winning a medal in Tokyo, Mirabai became the second Indian weightlifter to win an Olympic medal after Karnam Malleswari, who had won the Olympic medal (Bronze) while competing at the 2000 Sydney Games in the women’s 69kg weight category.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier on Friday, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh revealed that PM Modi had intervened to help two of the athletes to get better medical care and training in the US before the Tokyo Olympics.</p>

<p>Speaking to ANI, the Manipur CM said when he had met the Prime Minister this week, he thanked him for helping weightlifter Mirabai Chanu.&nbsp;</p>

Indonesia’s Aisah Windy Cantika took the bronze medal with an effort of 194kg (84+110).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Just after winning silver, Chanu spoke exclusively to WION, where she had mentioned a call from PM Modi, who tweeted moments after she had won the medal. He wrote, "Congratulations to her for winning the Silver medal in weightlifting. Her success motivates every Indian." He also added that he couldn't have asked for a happier start to the Olympics 2020 and mentioned that India is elated by Chanu's "stupendous performance".&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the exclusive chat with WION, Chanu had also opened up about the moment when she stood at the podium with her silver medal. <p>A world record had been predicted but Norway's Karsten Warholm had to utterly destroy it to hold off American Rai Benjamin and take gold on Tuesday in the men's 400 metres hurdles, in what will go down as one of the all-time great Olympic races.</p>

<p>Last month, Warholm broke Kevin Young's 29-year world mark with a time of 46.70 seconds but he blew his own record away with an astonishing 45.94 run. Benjamin pushed him all the way to take silver in 46.17, also half a second inside the old record.</p>

<p>Brazilian Alison dos Santos, 21, took bronze in 46.72, also inside Young's previous best, as six of the first seven finishers set national or continental records.</p>

<p>"I told myself going in to the race, remember all the work you have put in. It was the only thing missing from my (medal) collection. I can't describe how important this is for me. This is what I do morning until night, it's huge."</p>

<p>A Belarusian athlete who took refuge in the Polish embassy in Tokyo after refusing her team's orders to fly home from the Olympic Games will travel to Poland on Wednesday, a group of her supporters said.<br />

Sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya was granted a humanitarian visa by the Warsaw government. She had earlier refused to get on a flight home, saying she had been taken to the airport against her will by Belarusian officials because she had criticised her team's coaching staff.<br />

"She will fly from Tokyo, a direct flight to Warsaw on August 4, in two days'&nbsp;time," said Aleksandr Opeykin, chairman of the Belarusian Sports Solidarity Foundation.</p>

<p>She was lying second behind Tang Xijing until 16-year-old Guan, the last of the eight finalists to go, put in a superb display to take gold with 14.633 points, relegating&nbsp;Biles&nbsp;to bronze, the same colour she won in Rio.</p>
