After a brilliant performance at Coachella earlier this year, the K-pop girl band&nbsp;is currently in Australia performing in various parts of the country. During one of the concerts, band member Jennie Kim left the stage mid-performance leaving her fans worried. The initial domestic reception was muted. Their name was seen as strange, and in South Korea's highly competitive music market, being repped by a smaller label meant they were squeezed out of the mainstream, forcing them to find fresh ways to connect with fans.<br />
<br />
Gradually, as they broadened their musical style and increasingly went by the snappier name BTS, their albums started to rise up local and global charts. By 2018, their third album -- "Love Yourself: Tear" -- went straight to the top of the Billboard 200, prompting congratulations from the South Korean president at the time.<br />
<br />
Their direct outreach to fans online, coupled with their heartfelt music, has won them legions of adorers like Pena, whose eyes well with tears when she thinks of the song that means the most to her: "Love Myself".<br />
"There's a part that says, 'Why is it so hard for you to love yourself and easy for you to love other people?' and that struck a chord," she said.<br />

Although the band is currently on a hiatus, with two members performing their mandatory military service, they released a new digital single last week and have thrown themselves into celebrating the anniversary.</p>

For Darrin Goodwin, 52, this was the undisputed highlight of the tour -- especially as Jimin's father gave him an unexpected hug after their chat.<br />

"It was very very surreal and it was an honour and privilege," Goodwin said.<br />
<br />
Goodwin told AFP that he was not originally a BTS fan, but his daughter Chelsea had got him into the band.<br />
<br />
"I tried to convince my dad to listen to them but it didn't work until he heard a specific song, 'Dope'," she told AFP.<br />
<br />
Now, the father-daughter duo say they do everything BTS-related together and credit their shared love of the band with bringing them closer as a family.<br />
<br />
For Chelsea, 24, BTS is more than a K-pop group. They have made the world a happier place, she said, by teaching people "how to love themselves".</p>

<p>A news report on Soompi cited a military official and stated that the rapper was chosen for the role in the 36th Infantry Division recruits training centre. “J-Hope will serve as an assistant instructor after passing a period of educational qualification evaluation," the report further stated.&nbsp;<br />

She posted a photo of herself wearing it on her Instagram account to her 8.6 million followers.&nbsp;<br />

Jimin of BTS reveals the first poster of his solo album

<p>Britain-based K-pop girl band KAACHI is splitting up. KAACHI received a lot of attention when they first made their debut two years back. Their debut music video <em>Your Turn</em> fetched 10 million views within 60 days of being uploaded on YouTube and gained a total of 14 million views in the last two years.&nbsp;<br />

What started as a band of four members, it had struggled to create music as members started leaving to pursue personal careers. In 2021, band member Dani left the group. Fellow bandmate Coco left soon after in 2022. On February 28 2023, the band announced it was officially disbanding after the final two members decided to go solo.&nbsp;<br />

KAACHI's agency stated, "After careful discussions behind the scene, we are making an announcement that the official contract between the company, Nicole and Chunseo has been terminated."</p>

<p>The company added, "We will be happily rooting for each other whatever we do, wherever we are. The documentary Nicole and Chunseo participated in as the main cast will be officially released in the upcoming May. The announcement was made on Weverse, a K-pop fan community platform, where the singer gave details about his tour dates. Suga is set to perform in select venues across the US and Asia. <p>Vernon is the third member of the 13-piece act to release a mixtape as a part of their ‘The Thirteen Tapes’ series, following Hoshi’s 'Spider' in April 2021 and Woozil’s 'Ruby' in January 2022.</p>

<p>While being a member of Seventeen’s Hip-hop unit, Vernon also continues to venture outside of the group, shedding light to his flair as a solo artist. <p>Earlier this year, the K-pop band had announced that it would be on an indefinite hiatus as the seven members of the band would concentrate on their solo careers.&nbsp;</p>
