<p>Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf has claimed that it was the decision of the cricket governing body&nbsp;to send the wives of the Pakistan cricketers during their last tour of India in 2012 along with the players.</p>

<p>Ashraf said that the aim of the move was to keep an eye on the Pakistan cricketers and avoid any possible controversies during the series which took place in December – January.</p>

<p>"It is not an attempt to undermine the ICC Events or the ICC Events Cycle. The ICC tried the Super Series in 2005, so there is no harm in testing waters for another event," the source said.</p>

India got their campaign off to a winning start in the showpiece event with a comprehensive victory against their arch-rivals.</p>

<p>After posting a strong total of 244 runs on the board, Indian bowlers delivered a top-notch performance to bundle out Pakistan for a paltry 137 and clinch their first win of the tournament in style.&nbsp;While opener Smriti Mandhana continued her stellar run with a solid half-century, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar gave India a strong finish with the bat with fifties apiece lower down the order.</p>

<p>With the win, India have extended their unbeaten run against Pakistan in Women's World Cup. The Women in Blue have never&nbsp;lost against Pakistan in the history of the Women's World Cup with four wins in four encounters so far. While Rana and Vastrakar were India's heroes with the bat,&nbsp;Rajeshwari Gayakwad was the pick of the bowlers with a four-wicket haul.</p>
