Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri, Suhana spotted at India vs Australia World Cup final

<p>Australia pacer Mitchell Starc has revealed that the team planned for the slow and dry pitch on play during&nbsp;the World Cup final against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Australian speedsters managed to pick up seven wickets during the innings, skittling India for a below-par 240-run total.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Speaking at the mid-innings show, Starc said Australia were prepared for the slow deck. Despite getting hit for 80-odd runs in the powerplay, Australian bowlers roared back and kept the powerful Indian batting lineup in check.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Yes, I think we planned for things. We were terrific with the ball and now off to the batters. There is not much in the wicket for the seam bowlers," Starc told host broadcaster Star Sports.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"So, we put in the hard yards. Patty (Pat Cummins) was good and Josh (Hazlewood) was great and the spinners bowled well. We bowled second against England and there was dew and so&nbsp;no hope of reverse swing," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Australian pace bowlers exploited the conditions well by getting the white ball to reverse swing. Indian lower order was demolished by the reverse swing bowling from Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I think it's not an easy wicket. Dew or no dew you have to apply yourselves and score the runs. This is the World Cup, it is about how much you want it. The new ball will be the key as it's easy to score when the ball is harder. Let's see and we are up for it to chase this down," concluded the fast bowler.</p>

<p>India slumped to another low after Mitchell Starc sent batter KL Rahul to the pavilion with more than eight overs to spare. Rahul, who had been holding the innings together after Australia applied the chokehold, departed while playing a reverse swinging delivery from the left-armer.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the 42nd over with the scoreboard reading 203, Rahul was setting up the innings with Suryakumar Yadav at the other end. However, with the ball reverse swinging in the last few overs, captain pat Cummins introduced his strike bowler into the attack.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Starc started the over by coming from over the wicket but quickly changed it to around the wicket. As soon as he changed the angle, the ball started playing tricks. The seamer bowled a good length ball on the sixth stump line that nipped around before and after pitching, forcing Rahul to play at it.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The Indian batter went feeling for it and the ball took the outside edge which was safely pouched by Josh Inglis behind the stumps.</p>

<p>Indian captain Rohit Sharma ended his World Cup campaign with a brisk 47-run knock against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday afternoon. Throughout the tournament, Rohit's intent at the start has allowed India to set the game beautifully and now a video from before the start of the tournament&nbsp;reveals the mindset that the Indian captain had cultivated.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the video, Rohit said it doesn't matter if he gets a century, the important part is that the team should win the tournament.&nbsp;</p>
