<p>Former US president Donald Trump disclosed his personal finances with the Federal Election Commission showing a massive boost in his wealth after leaving office in 2020.</p>

<p>Those intending to run for president in 2024 are mandated by law to disclose their assets and liabilities to the election body.</p>

<p>According to the 101-page financial disclosure report, made public on Friday, the 76-year-old Republican made $5million from speaking engagements, and between $100,001 and $1 million in earnings from CIC Digital, the company behind the sale of Trump-branded non-fungible tokens (NFTs).</p>

<p>Apart from that, the documents show that his business empire generated at least $282 million over 2021 and most of 2022, and is currently valued at a minimum of $1.2 billion.</p>

<p>However, the revenue figures are not exact because many of Trump's holdings are in illiquid real estate assets and because federal disclosures require reporting only in broad ranges, with the top one over $50 million, Bloomberg reported.</p>

<p>He has reported earning less than $201 in income from the group in&nbsp;which he is the chairman of the board of directors.</p>

<p>The value is significantly lower than the initial $9 billion valuation for the company when it announced a merger in October 2021 with a Digital World Acquisition Company.</p>

<p><strong>Trump NFTs a hit</strong></p>

<p>Trump has made between $100,001 and $1 million in income from NFTs, according to his 2022 financial disclosure form.</p>

<p>The NFTs, some of which shows him in a space suit wearing sunglasses while another depicted him as a superhero shooting lasers from his eyes—were priced at $99.</p>

<p>Despite inviting ridicule, around 45,000 series of NFTs were sold out in less than a day, according to the website that listed them.</p>

<p>Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club, which has served as a destination spot for his supporters and allies, raked in over $5 million over the last 15 months, according to the report. The club brought in more than $24 million in the final year of his presidency,.</p>

<p>The Trump Hotel at the Old Post Office in Washington, D.C., which also served as a popular spot for Trump's allies during his presidency, also brought in more than $5 million last year in the months prior to its sale in May, per the filing.</p>

<p>According to New York Times newspaper, the financial disclosure showed the first payment to Trump for a new deal backed by a Saudi Arabia-based real estate investment firm to build a new golf and hotel complex in Oman. The payments so far are listed as being worth just over $5 million.</p>

<p>The former president filed the disclosure – which is required to be submitted by candidates within 30 days of announcing their candidacy – only after seeking and securing two 45-day extensions.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Trump’s legal team sought an additional 30-day extension that was rejected by the FEC’s acting general counsel Lisa Stevenson, according to CNN.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the deposition, which was held privately, reports quoting sources familiar with the proceedings said Trump answered all questions for about seven hours. He also did not invoke Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In the past, Trump invoked the Fifth for over 400 times and refused to answer questions before lawyers from James' office in its probe into the Trump's business practices.&nbsp;The Fifth Amendment in US Constitution includes legal proceedings, including one that says no one “shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself”.</p>

<p>The case is said to go to trial later this year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A leaked recording suggested that the World Bank staff were apparently asked to give special treatment to the son of the high-ranking official after support was extended by the US Treasury to the $13 billion increase in the organisation's funding, as per a report published in The Guardian.</p>

<p>As per reports, the whistleblower has claimed that the 2018 staff meeting's recording suggests that the colleagues were asked by a senior manager to give special treatment to the son of David Malpass, who is currently the World Bank's president but at that time was serving the US Treasury under Donald Trump.</p>

<p>In the recording, the bank staff can be heard as calling 22-year-old Robert Malpass as a “prince” and “important little fellow”, who is likely to go “running to daddy” if things don't go well.</p>

<p>“We have a prince that is coming, that is joining us, on 16 July,” said a senior manager, one month before Robert Malpass started working with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), which is the World Bank Group's commercial-terms lending arm that lends to private sector businesses.</p>

<p>“I want to forewarn all of you this young, bright person is the son of the undersecretary of the US Treasury, which was beneficial for us in getting the capital increase,” the manager stated.</p>

<p>The manager then explains that Robert, who recently finished his undergraduate in economics from Cornell University, needs to be treated like a “very important little fellow” that might otherwise go “running to daddy” if things went wrong.</p>

<p>“We need to manage his education and we need to manage the lemon,” said the manager, referring to the pending role of Robert in the department.</p>

<p>Donald Trump is in serious trouble from his former vice president Mike Pence's testimony in the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation, claims ex-federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Earlier this week, Pence said he will not appeal the judge's order compelling him to testify in the DOJ's investigation into whether the former president attempted to overturn the 2020 election results or not.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"Mike Pence has some sharply incriminating information that comes directly from the mouth of Donald Trump," Kirschner was quoted as saying by Newsweek.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"That's going to be direct evidence, not circumstantial evidence because Donald Trump waged a relentless pressure campaign to do - let's call it what it is to violate the law. The Electoral Count Act."</p>

<p>He added that Pence's not appealing could be a 'real danger zone for Donald Trump'.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As Kirschner made the tall claims, Trump's spokespersons dubbed him a conspiracy theorist saying, "Glenn is a notorious trafficker of wild conspiracy theories and dubious legal analysis. I would expect nothing more from a clout-chasing MSNBC contributor who has been shunned by the legal community at large."</p>

<p>While Kirschner's version would only be tested after Pence's testimony, there have been signs that the former Trump ally may open up a front in the court.</p>

<p>Last month, at a public function, Pence harshly criticised Trump for his role in the riots&nbsp;and said history will hold the former president accountable for being wrong.&nbsp;</p>

We have maintained an increased security presence in and around courthouses and throughout the judiciary and will adjust protocols as necessary.”</p>
