"It's something that's hurt us because we love playing in front of our home fans, and they turn up in great numbers and support us every time, and we love to have big wins in front of them. So it has been disappointing certainly to lose games at home,&rdquo; he continued.

Given it&rsquo;s never easy to keep the squad motivated if the team has nothing to look forward to, Hussey revealed Yellow Army is still motivated to end the season well and perhaps cause a few upsets.
"There's a lot of motivation in the squad. Plus, they're a very proud group. We're very proud to play for CSK. Massive fan base, and so you want to put in good performances to please the fans as well. I think the players really understand their responsibility and give 100% effort for every single match.
"It's a great opportunity for some guys to get a chance to play in the IPL. Hopefully, they can grab their chances and shore up their spot in the squad for the next few years. That's probably it. A few wins and a few players who have taken their opportunities that would be fantastic by the end of the season," he said.

In a rare moment on a cricket field, MS Dhoni, 43, failed to pull off a run chase for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as hosts Rajasthan Royals inflicted a six-run defeat on the former champions in Guwahati in IPL 2025. Unlike how late he came out to bat in the previous game when the match was already over for CSK, Dhoni walked out to bat in the 16th over this time. Though he managed a four and a six in his brief stay at the crease, MS Dhoni failed to help his team cross the winning line. CSK won the toss and elected to field first, making a few changes to their side. Though they dismissed returning Yashasvi Jaiswal inside the first over on just four, the CSK bowlers failed to gain more out of it; the batting pair of Nitish Rana and gloveman Sanju Samson added 82 for the second wicket before Noor Ahmed provided the much-needed breakthrough. IPL 2025: MS Dhoni fails in run chase as Rajasthan Royals pile misery on struggling CSK

MS Dhoni isn't getting old - at least his stumping skills don't show that and a proof of same was once again given during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday (Mar 28).

As for the rest of the match, it was a game of cat and mouse in which RCB pulled ahead in the end despite CSK taking wickets at regular interval.
After Salt's dismissal, Devdutt Padikkal played a cameo of 14-ball 27 but was dismissed thanks to a superb low catch by CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad.
RCB stalwart Kohli had a struggling night as he laboured his way to a 30-ball 31 with two sixes and a four. He was also not given strike much so much so that Kohli had only faced 22 balls in the first 10 overs of RCB's innings.
