SRH won by 57 runs, thanks to young pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, both of whom took four wickets each on their IPL debut. Batting first, SRH scored 216/6 in 20 overs, while RR, unbeaten so far, were 9/5 inside three overs in the chase and were bowled out on 159 in 20 overs.
SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) won the IPL 2026 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Monday (Apr 13) at Hyderabad by 57 runs. The match was turned around for SRH by young pacers Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain, both of whom took four wickets each on their IPL debut. Batting first, SRH scored 216/6 in 20 overs on the back of skipper Ishan Kishan's 91. RR, which were unbeaten in the tournament so far, were 9/5 inside three overs in the chase and could never recover from the damage and were bowled out on 159 in 20 overs. Despite the loss, RR remain on top of points table with 8 points from four wins and one loss in 5 matches while SRH move to fourth place with 4 points from two wins and three losses in five matches.
SRH debut bowlers finish the game off inside three overs
RR's chase of 217 vs SRH couldn't have gone any more awry - Praful Hinge - bowling the first over of innings - dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi with bouncer for a golden duck, clean bowled Dhuv Jurel two balls later and finished with the wicket of Lhuan-dre Pretorius - all in one over. This is the first time a bowler has taken three wickets in first over of the IPL innings, let alone on debut.
Sakib Hussain, Hinge's partner in debut, removed Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second over before RR skipper Riyan Paran also was sent back to dugout by Hinge in next over. At 9/5, RR needed a miracle which never arrived. Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja added 118 runs for the sixth wicket before Hussain dismissed Ferreira on 69 off 44. RR were eventually bowled out for 159 as Hinge and Hussain took 4/34 and 4/24, respectively to hand SRH a 57-run win.

RR started the match with Jofra Archer dismissing Abhishek Sharma for a golden-duck, putting the stadium in silent mode but skipper Ishan Kishan showed the mettle and held the innings together. Kishan added 55 runs with Travis Head (18) and 88 with Heinrich Klaasen (40 off 26) before being dismissed on 91 off 44 balls. Nitish Reddy (28 off 13) and Salil Arora (24 off 13) took the SRH to past 200 and finished on 216/6 in 20 overs.
