Melbourne VIC, Australia
Cricket Australia(CA) today announced a 15-man team to be captained by Tim Paine for ODI series against England starting next month.
D’Arcy Short has made it to the ODI squad for the first time with Lathan Lyon making a comeback after two years.
"England potentially have a number of left-handers in their side and we look forward to seeing what (Lyon) can produce with the white-ball in English conditions," said CA selector Trevor Hohns.
"A decision on a permanent one-day captain will be made in due course," Hohns added.
Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins were not included due to injury, the selectors said.
"Tim is a strong leader and will captain the side for this series, supported by Aaron," selector Trevor Hohns said.
"We have selected a 15-player squad as we push forward in our preparations for the World Cup in England in 2019," he added.
