Jasprit Bumrah, Micah Parsons video goes viral as star attractions showcase skills

Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah has been the focal point of India’s success in recent years, including the T20 World Cup in June. While the Indian team was in the United States for the group stages of the premier event, Bumrah was seen flexing his muscles as he took on NFL star Micah Parsons in a funny challenge. A video was released on the NFL’s official YouTube channel, as players both were seen exchanging a piece of their expertise.

Bumrah takes on NFL star Parsons

In the video shared, Bumrah is first seen bowling his deadly deliveries to Parsons on a practice pitch. Little familiar with the cricket rules, Parsons eventually hits a ball with the bat and strolls for a run. However, his gesture to drop the bat and run caught the netizens laughing. The linebacker from the Dallas Cowboys is then served underarm deliveries from the bowling coach, where he hits the ball big time.

On the other hand, Bumrah would then have a go against Parsons in his own game as he tried to breach the defence to score against the NFL star. The Indian World Cup winner almost produced goods and tried breaking Parsons’ defence.

Bumrah set for crucial run-in

While the video is now doing rounds on the internet, Bumrah is set for a crucial run-in in the coming days. Despite having missed the start of the domestic season, he is part of the Indian team for the opening Test match against Bangladesh which got underway in Chennai on Thursday (Sep 19). Bumrah is expected to play a key role in India’s away series against Australia kick-starting on November 22. In the meantime, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will look to manage his playing time considering he is prone to injuries.
