The 23rd game of the league will be played between MS Dhoni-led Chennai and Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata. Both the teams have four wins each and have been in pretty impressive form. The winner of the game will go at the top of the points table.
While Chennai suffered their first defeat at the hands of Mumbai, Kolkata lost to Delhi after the games got tied and went in Super Over.
In a clash between two teams having quality spinners, a batsman of Andre Russell's calibre may just prove to be the difference between the two sides.
While for Chennai, Kedar Jadhav and skipper Dhoni himself will be the game changers as the game will be played at their home ground MA Chidambaram Stadium.
Analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the two teams then Chennai easily defeated Punjab in their last game, thanks to a brilliant half-century by Faf du Plessis. He scored 54 runs in just 38 balls.

Now if we talk about Kolkata, the team's batting solely relies on Russell's last-minute performance. Russell has delivered some power-packed performances in the last few games to give them win at the last moment. He took away three man of the match awards for his performance.
Apart from Russell, Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine established a 91-run partnership to defeat Rajasthan in their last game. While Lynn returned to form with his 32-ball 50 runs, Narine slammed 47 in 25 balls.
Talking about the winning probability then Chennai need to find a solution to tackle Russell as he can be very dangerous. It would be better if Chennai goes for bowling first and chase the target.
Shane Watson should step up for the team as even 200 would be a less target considering the players the two teams possess.
Meanwhile, for Kolkata, Robin Uthappa and Kuldeep Yadav will be the players to watch out for.
