The two Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders were flying to the Vatican City for Mother Teresa's canonization.
The name of the four-year-old political party - Aam Aadmi - loosely translates into the Common Man's Party.
On the eve of the 19th anniversary of her death, Mother Teresa will be canonized with a mass led by Pope Francis at the Vatican's St Peter's Square.
