Pakistan’s persistent disinformation and lies while claiming that it had shot down India’s multiple Rafale fighter jets during Operation Sindoor have once again been busted by an official Indian Air Force (IAF) tender document, which seeks ‘bridge support’ for the entire fleet of 36 Rafale jets currently in service. A tender document issued by the Indian Air Force explicitly seeks maintenance, logistics, and technical support for all 36 Rafale aircraft. An Air Headquarters Request for Proposal (RFP), issued recently, invites bids for a five-month “bridge support” package covering all 36 Rafale fighter aircraft, the same number India procured from France under the government-to-government agreement. India is also treating Afghan children with congenital heart diseases, upgrading hospitals, and offering scholarships to nearly 3,000 Afghan students since 2023, including 1,000 women. Further scholarships and support for women-led self-help groups are planned. The ambassador noted the joy brought by Afghan cricketers in the Indian Premier League and India’s hosting of a bilateral cricket series. “Sports have a rare power to lift a nation’s spirit... We definitely believe that our Afghan brothers and sisters deserve this,” he said.

India’s Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish said at the UNSC that Pakistan’s denial of transit access for Afghan traders amounts to unprecedented "trade and transit terrorism”. He said India was issuing hundreds of gratis long-term business visas to help affected Afghan traders.

India has slammed Pakistan United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for attempting to interfere in India's internal issues while not speaking about its genocidal act against neighbouring nations. In a strongly worded speech on Thursday (May 21), India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Harish Parvathaneni, slammed the country of carrying out cross-border violence in Afghanistan that caused hundreds of civilian deaths and injuries. Putting Pakistan's horrible record in front of the world, the Indian envoy listed its attack on its own people during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, referring to Operation Searchlight. He also said that the country ignored global calls to uphold international humanitarian obligations. India reiterated that states supporting cross-border terrorism must be held accountable and stressed that protection of civilians should remain central to the UN Security Council’s peace and security efforts.

What India’s UN envoy said?
“It is ironic that Pakistan, with its long-tainted record of genocidal acts, has chosen to refer to issues that are strictly internal to India," he said. Parvathaneni's response came as Pakistan attempted to rake up Jammu and Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council’s open debate. About 1971 Bangladesh Liberation War, Parvathaneni said, “During Operation Searchlight in 1971, Pakistan sanctioned the systematic campaign of genocidal mass rape of 400,000 women citizens by its own army. Such inhuman conduct reflects Pakistan's repeated attempts over decades to externalize internal failures through increasingly desperate acts of violence both within and beyond its borders. With no faith, no law, and no morality the world can see through Pakistan's propaganda.” Also Read: Norwegian journalist in heated MEA exchange says Instagram, Facebook suddenly suspended: What’s happening? About Afghanistan, he said, "The world has not forgotten that it was during the holy month of Ramadan in March this year, at a time of peace, reflection, and mercy, that Pakistan conducted a barbaric airstrike on the Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital in Kabul. India criticised China on Tuesday after Chinese officials admitted to supporting Pakistan during Operation Sindoor last year. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that countries backing efforts to “protect terror infrastructure” must reflect on the impact such actions have on their global reputation and standing. The rebuke was issued during a MEA press briefing after reports emerged about China’s admission that it provided technical assistance to Pakistan during the May 2025 military clashes with India.
‘We have seen reports that corroborate what was known earlier’
Speaking to reporters, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the international community closely watches how major powers align themselves. “We have seen reports that corroborate what was known earlier,” Jaiswal said at a weekly media briefing when asked about reports in Chinese media. “It is for nations that consider themselves responsible to reflect on whether supporting attempts to protect terrorist infrastructure affects their reputation and standing,” he added. The MEA spokesperson further clarified that India’s military action was a counter-terror operation and necessary to safeguard national security against cross-border threats. He said that Operation Sindoor “was a precise, targeted, and calibrated response to the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, aimed at destroying state-sponsored terrorist infrastructure operating out of Pakistan and at its behest.”
‘China confirmed it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan during Op Sindoor’
China, for the first time, confirmed that it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan during the four-day military conflict with India in May last year. India had recently marked the first anniversary of its Operation Sindoor it launched against terror camps located in Pakistan in response to the April 2025 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where more than two dozen civilians were gunned down. The rebuke was issued during a MEA press briefing after reports emerged about China’s admission that it provided technical assistance to Pakistan during the May 2025 military clashes with India. ‘We have seen reports that corroborate what was known earlier’ Speaking to reporters, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the international community closely watches how major powers align themselves. He said that Operation Sindoor “was a precise, targeted, and calibrated response to the terrorist attacks in Pahalgam, aimed at destroying state-sponsored terrorist infrastructure operating out of Pakistan and at its behest.” ‘China confirmed it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan during Op Sindoor’ China, for the first time, confirmed that it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan during the four-day military conflict with India in May last year. The admission was made by Chinese engineers, according to China’s state media. India had recently marked the first anniversary of its Operation Sindoor it launched against terror camps located in Pakistan in response to the April 2025 terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where more than two dozen civilians were gunned down. India accused Pakistan of a direct role in the terror attack. Operation Sindoor was a calibrated, multi-domain surgical strike that lasted exactly 88 hours. China’s state broadcaster CCTV recently aired an interview with Zhang Heng, an engineer from the Aviation Industry Corporation of China’s (AVIC) Chengdu Aircraft Design and Research Institute, a key developer of China’s advanced fighter aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicle designs. Zhang had provided technical support to Pakistan during the four-day war last May, reported Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post. Pakistan's air force operates a fleet of Chinese-made J-10CE jets, produced by an AVIC subsidiary.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said nations that consider themselves responsible should reflect on whether supporting attempts to protect terrorist infrastructure affects their reputation and standing. China confirmed that it provided on-site technical support to Pakistan.

As India on Thursday (May 7) held a press conference marking the valour of Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor last year, Pakistan held a similar media briefing.
