Adityanath stressed that the "safe and smooth departure of every devotee" is a top priority and must be ensured by the ADG and the District Magistrate of Prayagraj.&nbsp;
"It is our responsibility to facilitate their journey. To achieve this, seamless coordination with the railways must be maintained to ensure continuous train operations," said the UP CM.
"Additionally, extra buses from the Transport Corporation should be deployed to accommodate the rush," he instructed.
As per PTI, holding areas have been set up at border points to manage crowd pressure. The CM instructed that provisions for food, water, and uninterrupted electricity must be ensured at these locations.

For optimal traffic and crowd control, he instructed that the authorities in districts bordering Prayagraj must strictly enforce the directives issued from Prayagraj.
He called for increased patrolling and strict enforcement of directives, especially on key routes like Ayodhya-Prayagraj and Lucknow-Pratapgarh-Prayagraj. Officials have been directed to prevent unnecessary halts and ensure smooth traffic flow across all return routes.
"All return routes from Prayagraj should remain open and unobstructed at all times," Adityanath said, adding "Traffic must remain smooth within the Maha Kumbh Mela area".

According to the Cabinet, as part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, and recognising the indispensable role of critical minerals in high-tech industries, clean energy, and defence, the Government of India has undertaken several initiatives over the past two years to address challenges in the critical minerals sector. &nbsp; There is a need to establish an effective framework for India's self-reliance in the critical mineral sector. In line with this vision, the Finance Minister announced the setting up of the Critical Mineral Mission in the Union Budget for 2024-25 on 23rd July 2024.&nbsp;
The National Critical Mineral Mission, approved by the Union Cabinet, will encompass all stages of the value chain, including mineral exploration, mining, beneficiation, processing, and recovery from end-of-life products. The mission will intensify the exploration of critical minerals within the country and in its offshore areas. Adopting a whole-of-government approach, the Mission will work closely with relevant ministries, PSUs, private companies, and research institutions to achieve its objectives. The next Amrit Snan on Vasant Panchami will definitely be a grand one... If we can bathe our deities, we will consider we have bathed ourselves... We haven't been permitted by the administration yet, but as soon as we are given the go-ahead, we will proceed. We will not carry out huge processions this time..."

Posting on X, Saini said, "I drank the water of the holy Yamuna on the Haryana border. (Delhi Chief Minister) Atishiji did not come. She must be making up a new lie. Lies have no legs, and that is why the lies of AAP-da are not working."&nbsp;
Saini also accused Kejriwal of misleading the people ahead of the Delhi elections. "The god-like people of Delhi have recognised these deceivers. The end of AAP's era of deceit is certain on February 5 (when Delhi votes). People of Delhi will punish Haryana's ungrateful son, Arvind Kejriwal, because our brotherhood has been strong for centuries...," he declared. &nbsp;

"We will conduct a Delhi caste survey to enumerate the various deprived classes in Delhi in the first Cabinet meeting of the state government," the manifesto mentioned.
The manifesto, with 219 points, covers a wide range of areas such as health, education, women's issues, minorities, Scheduled Castes, Purvanchalis, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

A designated area along the Yamuna River will be declared a district for celebrating Chhath Mahaparv; the ghat on the Yamuna will be named after the late Sharda Sinha. A ministry will be set up to ensure the welfare of Purvanchalis, it said.
"We will support startups and innovation by creating incubation centres, and will offer seed funding for startups and small enterprises. We will expand free Wi-Fi coverage in public areas to support professionals working remotely," it said.

Modi addressed a public meeting in Delhi's Kartar Nagar, where he criticised AAP leaders, comparing them to notorious serial killer Charles Sobhraj, known for deceiving people.
"You may have heard of Charles Sobhraj, he was a known thug. He was such an expert at duping people with innocence that every time people would get duped by him. That is why one has to remain cautious of such people," he said.
The Indian prime minister further said that the national capital has now decided and made it clear that no excuses, fake promises, or "loot and lies" of the "AAP-da" government will work.
He then hit out at AAP stating that during the previous elections, the party had appealed for votes promising to clean the Yamuna river, but now they say that this particular issue does not generate votes.
"This is fraud and shamelessness. They want to make people struggle for water and want Purvanchalis to do Chhathi Maiya's puja surrounded by garbage," he said.

Squawk codes are four-digit numbers used by the ATC to identify aircraft in flight, ranging from 000 to 7777.&nbsp;
Squawk code 7500 indicates "unlawful interference," which is typically recognised as a hijacking, according to Flightradar.com.&nbsp;

On receiving the alert, Delhi ATC initiated a protocol to inform the destination airport, security agencies, and the Indian Air Force. A special committee was formed, and the Indian Air Force was put on high alert.&nbsp;
But the pilot quickly informed the ATC that it was a false alarm and the aircraft was operating normally.&nbsp;
However, authorities were cautious as they did not want to take any chances, as the main concern was that the pilot might have been under threat and might have been forced to report it as a false alarm.&nbsp;

With this launch, the GSLV-F15, India's Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, completed its 17th flight. This also marks the 11th mission which used India's Indigenous Cryo stage. Additionally, this flight marked the 8th operational flight of GSLV with an indigenous Cryogenic stage.

After analysing evidence, including bank transactions and communication records, during the investigation, Raju Gupta from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and Mohammad Abrar from Bhajanpura, Delhi, were identified as the major dealers who supplied narcotics to local drug peddlers in the Kashmir region.

Moreover, a suspicious courier parcel linked to the accused has been identified in Loni, Ghaziabad, and steps are being taken to retrieve it with court approval. The financial transactions and properties of the accused are under scrutiny for potential attachment under the NDPS Act.

&ldquo;We had arrested three drug peddlers in Srinagar, from whose possession we recovered a huge quantity of narcotics. A motorcycle was intercepted, leading to the arrest of three drug peddlers, Aijaz Ahmad Ganie (Athwajan Pantha Chowk), Owais Ahmad Gojri (Brari Pora), and Mir Roman (Ali Masjid Eidgah). We found that these drug peddlers were part of an inter-state drug trafficking module and that they used to buy drugs from outside the Union Territory, mostly UP. We have arrested two main drug dealers from outside Kashmir. They used to send drugs through courier to local peddlers. With over 100 cases of Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS), a rare neurological disorder, recorded in Pune recently, local residents have claimed that contaminated water of a well could be the reason behind the outbreak.&nbsp;
The affected area is within a four-kilometre radius of Khadakwasla Dam, one of the major sources of water for Pune city. However, the locals claim that there is no supply of clean drinking water for them.

Pune has reported 111 GBS cases as per the Maharashtra Public Health Department. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the situation at a Mumbai meeting on Tuesday (Jan 28).
According to the residents, the water is lifted from a closed pipeline that begins from the Khadakwasla reservoir and is stored in a well in Nanded village. The unfiltered water is then supplied to Kirkatwadi, Nanded, parts of Dhayari, Kolhewadi, and Khadakwasla without any purification process undertaken.
Earlier, when these villages or localities had independent gram panchayats, they were under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).&nbsp;

<h2>Residents &lsquo;deprived of basic amenities&rsquo;</h2>
Umesh Pangavhane, a resident of Urbangram society in Kirkatwadi, said, &ldquo;Several people in our locality are suffering from stomach ailments, and the key cause is contaminated water supply. Since 80 per cent of cases of GBS are from our area, we requested the civic administration to install a filtration plant at this well.&rdquo;
The resident alleged that when the area was under a gram panchayat, regular cleaning of the tanks was undertaken. However, this was no longer the case anymore.
&ldquo;We are paying taxes to the corporation, but in return we are deprived of basic amenities,&rdquo; Pangavhane said.

Another resident, Bharat Pancharya, said, &ldquo;If the civic administration thinks it will be moved only by agitation, we are ready to agitate for the basic amenities. I would like PMC officials to come and live with us for one month. I doubt if they will go back healthy.&rdquo;
Former deputy Sarpanch Narendra Hagawane said that several resorts that are in the Khadakwasla dam area do not have proper sewage systems and release waste water into the reservoir. The same water is lifted and stored in the well.
Former deputy sarpanch of Kirkatwadi, Kajal Hagawane, said that PMC should reconstruct the well as it is 40-50 years old.
&ldquo;The well is on the side of the road with no proper compound wall around. A wall should be erected so that it is protected from any sort of contamination,&rdquo; she said.

Nandkishore Jagtap, water supply department chief of the PMC, said the well is located on private land, and the owner allowed it to be constructed as a goodwill gesture.
&ldquo;For a filtration plant, the current location is not suitable. Currently we are continuing water supply from the same place, and measures are being taken to ensure no contamination takes place,&rdquo; he said.
&ldquo;We have been doing chlorination of water since monsoon, and adequate measures are being taken to ensure that clean water is provided,&rdquo; he said. So far, no bacteria have been detected in the water.
&ldquo;A (water filtration) plant will be set up keeping requirements for the next 30 to 40 years in mind,&rdquo; he said.
