India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday (Oct 31) stated that terrorism in the country has been effectively countered, with the last major incident happening in 2013. He added that the entire country has been secured from terrorist attacks, except for Jammu and Kashmir, which he called a “proxy war” for Pakistan. Doval made the remarks at the annually held Sardar Patel Memorial Lecture on Governance.“The facts are facts, and they cannot be disputed. Terrorism in this country has been effectively countered. We had a major incident of terrorism on July 1, 2005, and the last one in 2013 in the hinterland. Except for Jammu and Kashmir, which had been a theatre of a proxy war or a covert warfare for Pakistan, which is a different ballgame, the whole country has remained secure from terrorist attacks. Efforts were made. People were arrested. Explosives are recovered,” Doval said in his address at the event.The NSA said that while enemies have remained active, there have been no terrorist incidents in the hinterland. And then they must file compliance affidavits."The order follows the court’s October 27 directive, which required the personal presence of Chief Secretaries from all states and Union Territories—except Telangana and West Bengal—on November 3 for failing to comply with its earlier instructions. Sonu’s family indicated that he and Karam were among the seven Indians, along with youths of Punjab and Rajasthan, who underwent a 15-day training in August 2025.&nbsp;Sonu’s elder brother Vikas said, “I received a message from a Russian military official on September 19 that Sonu had died in a Ukrainian strike. Other youths who trained with him told us that a drone hit Sonu, while Karam was struck on the shoulder. The two youths from Rajasthan are also missing.”<h3>Former Hisar Lok Sabha MP raises the issue with the EAM</h3>The issue was raised by the former Hisar Lok Sabha MP Brijendra Singh with the Ministry of External Affairs. On September 19, a Russian official informed us that Aman went missing on September 6.”&nbsp;In addition, Shri Bhagwan, from Rohtak, reported that his nephew Sandeep has also gone missing. “Sandeep went to Russia in September 2024 on a study visa. He said that the offshore trials conducted using floating LIDAR (light detection and ranging) buoys have shown that the Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) is at 37 per cent in Gujarat and about 50 per cent in Tamil Nadu. The CUF is a measure of the actual energy a wind farm generates compared to its theoretical maximum output it can deliver. This data helps determine the efficiency of the wind plant.&nbsp;&nbsp;He elaborated that the tender for executing 500-megawatt offshore wind projects, one off Gujarat and one off Tamil Nadu would be floated in February 2026. Citing another possibility, said that there is a likelihood of a single tender being floated for a 1000-megawatt offshore wind project in either Tamil Nadu or Gujarat.&nbsp;&nbsp;Addressing the 7th&nbsp;edition of industry event 'Windergy India' in Chennai today, the Minister urged industry stakeholders including original equipment manufacturers and component manufacturers to enhance local content in wind projects to 85 per cent from the current 64 per cent. The children, aged between 13 and 17 years, had reportedly travelled from different parts of Maharashtra to attend an audition for an ad shoot being held at the studio.Mumbai Police teams, including senior officers and a quick response unit, rushed to the spot after receiving information about the standoff.&nbsp;Witnesses reported seeing children peeking out through the studio’s glass windows as they were confined by the suspect, Rohit Arya, an employee at the studio who also runs a YouTube channel.In the video, Arya insisted that his demands were not financial but “moral” and “ethical”. He warned authorities not to provoke him and issued a chilling threat. “A slightest wrong move from your end will trigger me to set this entire place on fire and die in it...
