According to reports the airport may also remain closed on April 10 as well.

Passengers who will be traveling during this time will need to contact airline first to confirm the timings as several flights have been rescheduled.

Jet Airways also announced a list of rescheduled and canceled flights on its website.

Earlier this year, several flights were canceled and rescheduled at the primary international airport of Mumbai after a similar shut down carried by Mumbai International Airport Limited.

Reports say that Chhatrapati Shivani Maharaj International Airport is India's second busiest airport in terms of total passengers. It comes on number 14 on the list of the busiest airport in Asia.

The airport's passenger traffic crossed 45 million in 2016-17.
