
RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Thursday surrendered before special CBI court in Ranchi, Jharkhand upon on expiry of provisional bail.
Lalu before his arrest said that he had faith in CBI court's decision.
RJD chief who reached Ranchi from Patna was directed by the Jharkhand high court to surrender before the CBI court by August 30 after rejecting his plea to extend bail on August 24.
After being sent to jail in December 2017 following conviction, the RJD chief has spent a considerable amount of time at the RIMS Hospital in Ranchi and AIIMS in New Delhi for treatment of different ailments. He was also treated in a Mumbai hospital for three weeks and discharged on August 25.
Lalu Prasad granted six weeks provisional bail on medical grounds on may 11 by Jharkhand High Court. Lalu has been convicted in three fodder scam cases by a special CBI court in Ranchi.
Meanwhile, Prabhat Kumar, Yadav's Lawyer said that the doctors at the Asian Heart Institute, Mumbai will do a checkup on Lalu Prasad Yadav and then inform Court about his condition.
