India has witnessed its highest-ever single day spike of coronavirus cases. The country reports 11,929 cases in the past 24 hours taking the total toll to 3,20,922, as per the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

India has 1,49,348 are active and 1,62,379 have been cured/discharged/migrated.
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit state in India with 1,04,568 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu (42,687) and Delhi (38,958).
There have been at least 7,711,490 cases registered in 196 countries and territories. The pandemic has killed 427,495 people worldwide since it surfaced in China late last year, according to an AFP tally at 1900 GMT on Saturday, based on official sources.
The United States continues to be the worst-hit with 115,436 deaths due to the virus and 2,071,782 cases.
