
Arunachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Date, Schedule:Arunachal Pradesh is among states going for one of thebiggest elections in India, which is currently is underway. Polling in the first phase of Lok Sabha electionsstarted in Arunachal Pradesh at 7:00 am local time on Friday (Apr 19), along with the assembly elections for the state.
The seventh and last phase will be held on June 1 and the results will be announced on June 4.
BJP registered a historic mandate in the last elections, winning 282 seats - an absolute majority in the Lok Sabha.
The Congress was reduced to its worst-ever tally, winning only 44 constituencies.

The pollingon April 19 is to elect two members to the 18th Lok Sabha.
The Legislative Assembly elections will also be held simultaneously.

The polling for the Lok Sabha election in Arunachal Pradesh is being held in the first phase, on April 19.
Arunachal Pradesh has two constituencies- Arunachal West and Arunachal East.
The polling in the northeastern state will take place in a single phase only.
In the 2019 general elections, BJP won two seats in Arunachal Pradesh. In the last elections, Kiren Rijiju of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged victorious in the Arunachal West Lok Sabha constituency, defeating Nabam Tuki of the Indian National Congress (INC).
Tapir Gao from the BJP clinched victory in the Arunachal East Lok Sabha constituency triumphing over Lowangcha Wanglat of the INC by a significant margin of 69,948 votes.
