PSG striker Kylian Mbappe was booed by a section of the crowd during his final home game, at the Parc des Princes, versus Toulouse on Sunday (May 12). The 25-year-old had announced that he would be leaving the French club on a free transfer in 2024 and, thus, his decision hasn't been well received by some. When the striker's name was announced when PSG were revealing their line-up for the clash versus Toulouse, some PSG fans let their feelings known by booing the youngster.
The video of the incident has gone viral and was captured by one of the fans in the stadium. Here is the clip:

It is to be noted that both Neymar and Lionel Messi were also booed by PSG fans ahead of their departure from the club, earlier this season.
Mbappe's exit became more painful with PSG losing to Toulouse by a 3-1 margin; their second Ligue 1 defeat of the season. Luis Enrique's side struggled for form after their midweek Champions League semi-final loss to Borussia Dortmund and remain on 70 points from 32 games, six clear of second-placed AS Monaco with two games remaining.
Luis Enrique's side has struggled for form following their midweek UEFA Champions League semifinal loss to Borussia Dortmund (by 1-0 margin). Despite the home loss, the French club remains on 70 points from 32 games in Ligue 1 standings with two games in hand.
Reflecting on the loss, PSG forward Ousmane Dembele told Canal+, "This defeat spoils the party a bit. It's always frustrating, even if you're champion, to lose like that in front of your home crowd."
"We need to rethink things after a defeat and not lose like that at home, even if we are champions."
On Mbappae's exit, Dembele said, "He gave so much to the club, he did so much." He added, "We're happy with everything he's done, he's grown up well at PSG, he's achieved so much, he's a PSG legend. We're proud of him."
