With the release of her culture-blending track "Mamushi" featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba, Megan Thee Stallion topped the charts and took social media by storm. Now, the singer has unveiled the song's music video for her fans worldwide.

Filmed in Tokyo, the music video shows Megan channelling her inner Mamushi, which is a venomous Japanese viper. The rapper is seen killing gangsters in a Japanese spa and creating an army of dead gangsters, who later head to the Engaku-ji Temple.

The music video, directed by Kevin “Onda” Leyva, also features actor Shô Kasamatsu and is inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s 1990 film, Dreams. Megan is also seen doing her viral dance routine in it.

While sharing the music video on Instagram, Megan wrote, "Dream of thee (snake emoji) tonight (laugh emoji) MAMUSHI VIDEO OUT NOW good night hotties."

In the comment section, a fan wrote, "Creeping under the water was SUCH a dope shot, and her perched on the stone?? Love her visions and how her team actualizes them for her!"

Another commented, "Those who don’t understand the video.. she’s telling the Japanese tale about the snake lady but she added her own parts with a twist."

A third wrote, "As a Japanese American, this music video is surreal. This is a perfect marriage between Megan's artistry, her vision, her "ii karada" (her BANGIN bod) and authentic Japanese imagery, folklore, and culture. As someone who has been a nerd, has loved anime since a kid, and as someone who has been timid about getting into rap and has only started listening to rap last year, it makes me blush to have Megan embrace our culture this way. It feels like being the nerdy kid at school and finding out the hottest person at school has a crush on you. It just melts your mind. Sending so much love her way. "

"Mamushi" is part of Megan's self-titled third studio album, which has a total of 18 tracks. It is her first album to be released under her independent label Hot Girl Productions.
