Conspiracy theories continue on social media even as Kate Middleton has revealed about her cancer diagnosis in a video shared on Friday. Kate's video statement, updating the world about her health came amid multiple theories about her well-being as she had been away from the public eye since January after undergoing abdominal surgery. Her appearance was seen as a means to end all speculations about her whereabouts for the last few months.
In the video, the Princess of Wales had stated that she was undergoing chemotherapy for cancer and is "well and getting stronger every day."
Now, days after Kate video made headlines, theories continue to swirl. New conspiracy theories have suggested that the video might have been an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled deepfake."

In the video, Kate was seen sitting on a bench in the gardens of Windsor Palace, with cherry blossoms and daffodils in the background. Wearing a black and white striped sweater, with blue jeans, Kate looked at the camera and addressed her fans and revealed that the cancer was not known when she underwent abdominal surgery.

"However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

Conspiracy theories swirl
Soon after Kate's video message went viral, it led to more theories on social media with many alleging that the footage might have been an AI-enabled deepfake.
Some users even went on to question why the leaves or grass weren't moving in the background.
The AFP news agency reported that some social media users also posted a slowed-down version of the video, saying that it was "digitally manipulated".
The claims have not been officially verified.
A few others also pointed out the absence of a dimple on her cheek, which has been prominent in other images of Kate.
