'Jojo Rabbit' star Archie Yates signed for Home Alone reboot in leading role

We know that Disney is planning a reboot to all-time favourite film Home Alone and none other than ‘Jojo Rabbit’ breakout star Archie Yates has been signed on for the project.

Archie Yates made an impressionable debut as Yorki in ‘Jojo Rabbit’, best friend of lead character Jojo played by Roman Griffin Davis in Taika Waititi’s satirical black comedy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Home Alone reboot is being called this right now because of its similarities in the idea of the storyline but the makers plan on having another title when they are ready.

As for the parents in the reboot, Ellie Kemper and Rob Delaney will take up the roles. They will reportedly go to war with a child who has stolen a priceless heirloom in order to save themselves from financial ruin.

The film will be directed by Dan Mazer of ‘Dirty Grandpa’ with the script penned bySaturday Night Live scribes Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell.

Home Alone has been one of the most-loved films of all time, especially during the holiday season when almost everyone admits to indulge in the film. Young actor Macaulay Culkin became an overnight star with the film that released in the 1990s. Home Alone series has three films in its bucket with them collectively earning more than $900 million at the worldwide box office.
