Watch Jigra trailer: Alia Bhatt looks in top form in explosive new trailer for film on sibling love

Alia Bhatt has a superb range as an actor as she is ready with yet another film and this time she is set to protect her brother. Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina play a sister-brother duo in Jigra. The film is directed by Vasan Bala and is full of high-action drama.
Jigra makers teased the first official trailer today as it follows Alia Bhatt’s character Satya’s craziness to save her brother and bring him out of prison. The starting scene of the film shows that Vedang’s character has been awarded death by electrocution for some crime and Alia’s character tries her best to pull him out before it's too late. The prison is in some unnamed Southeast Asian country.
Alongside Alia and Vedang, Jigra also stars Manoj Pahwa. Jigra marks Alia’s debut in the action genre.
In the teaser trailer for Jigra, we got the impression that Satya works in the hospitality industry. After her brother gets arrested, Satya travels to a foreign country, where she begins putting together an escape plan into motion. Vedang is arrested on false charges.

Jigra is Alia Bhatt's only film release this year
This will be Alia Bhatt’s only release this year. In 2023, Alia Bhatt was seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She also made her Hollywood debut with Netflix’s Heart of Stone, which also starred Gal Gadot. Alia is currently working on YRF’s next spy-verse film Alpha, which also stars Sharvari.
Vedang was last seen in his debut film The Archies alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda.
