Margot played Leo’s love interest and then wife in the film. The film was a huge success commercially and critics applauded the actors for their acting skills in a film that tested them to their limits.

When asked during a yet-to-be-released episode of Talking Pictures: A Movie Memories Podcast, Margot explained that she listened to the title track of another of Leo’s film Titanic, to get in the mood to cry.

She told the podcaster, “I can even just hear the theme music of ‘Titanic,’ and I’ll be bawling. And so that’s what I do on set if I need to cry in a scene.” The episode will be released on November 26.

How the moment became "surreal" for her

She went on to explain one of the instances that became too “surreal” for her as she was hearing the Titanic track when she saw Leonardo and Kate Winslet walking past her. Leo and Kate played the leading parts in the James Cameron film that was about the real-life Titanic drowning on its maiden voyage.

She told the podcaster, “On ‘Wolf of Wall Street,’ there was the big, crazy scene after I ask for a divorce and stuff. And Kate Winslet came to visit set, to visit Leo [DiCaprio] that day. I was in the room next to them, listening to the ‘Titanic’ soundtrack trying to stay in sad, teary mode. And then I saw Kate Winslet and Leo walk past. It was very surreal.”

Margot Robbie also elaborated on her acting prowess on the podcast from Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz and Warner Bros. Discovery. The show has been renewed for a second season focused on comedy, with upcoming guests also including Bill Murray, Carol Burnett, Jane Lynch and J.B. Smoove.
