Jennifer Lawrence, who was the victim of a photo leak in 2014, has shared how she took strict action when an unauthorised person was present on set while she was filming a nude scene.
When asked about advocating for herself, Jennifer Lawrence shared a shocking on-set incident. The Oscar-winning actress, who recently made her Instagram debut, revealed that once, while she was filming a nude scene, an unauthorised crew member was present on set. And instead of letting go easily of a moment, a film set is a place where it can get crowded.
During her appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, she revealed that an unauthorised crew member was present on set while she was filming a nude scene.
Speaking on that, Lawrence said that as a senior industry member, the actress chose that she had to cut in and set a precedent, as the same could happen to any 18-year-old newcomer.
When asked on the podcast if she has become more comfortable advocating for herself, she said:
“You have to be malleable. That’s part of the job. When Lynne Ramsay for ‘Die My Love’ says cut your hair and get mullet bangs and dye it platinum blonde… that’s the gig. You have to be malleable. But I definitely speak up more now because I am aware of the place I have in the industry,” she said.
Recalling an unsettling moment from filming a nude scene, when crew members who were not approved to be there were present on set. Explaining why she refused to stay silent, Lawrence said she was thinking about the young actresses who might not understand what happens on the set.
“There was an instance on set where crew members who were not approved when I was doing nudity were on set. I came down hard on it, purely because if we are not setting that principle then what on earth is going to happen to an 18-year-old unknown when she shows up and there’s people on set who are not approved to be there? She’s going to be in a position of do I say something and get a reputation for being difficult or do I let these people who I’m not comfortable with see me naked. It was important to me to explain that to the people why that was not okay,” she said.
In 2014, Lawrence became the victim of a nude photo leak, which she said in a 2021 interview still haunts her today. She became the
“Anybody can go look at my naked body without my consent, any time of the day,” Lawrence, 31, said during an interview with Vanity Fair on Monday, November 22, for their December issue. “Somebody in France just published them. My trauma will exist forever.”
Her nude photos appeared on the internet after iCloud hackers leaked the pictures. Not only Lawrence, but Ariana Grande, Victoria Justice, Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst were also victim
