Walmart had already promised to give $6 million to hurricane relief efforts but after Parton's announcement, they increased their donation to $10 million. Parton’s $1 million will go to the Mountain Ways Foundation. This organization helps provide disaster relief and works with local groups to get aid to the people who need it most.

Parton said at a press conference, "My heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. These are my mountains my valleys my rivers and my people. This is my home and I want to help in any way I can."

In addition to her personal donation, Parton’s businesses like Dollywood Parks and Resorts and Dolly Parton’s Stampede will also donate $1 million. These funds will support recovery efforts for families affected by the storm.
