The shooting of the movie kicked off earlier this month in Mumbai, India, and now the first photos of the lead pair Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi from the film set are out.
The behind-the-scenes photos that have set the internet ablaze showRanbir and Sai as Hindu deities Lord Rama and Sita. In the photos, they are decked up in resplendent costumes.
The set of photos showed Ranbir and Sai shooting for the magnum opus. In the photos, bare-chest Ranbir is donning a brown-colour dhoti with a heavy shawl and jewellery as he spotted long locks. Meanwhile, Sai is dressed in a brown and golden saree.

The leaked photos, whichhaveshown the actors taking a stroll against the backdrop of a grand palacehave garnered immense praise from the cinephiles across the different social media platforms.

Director Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana has been one of the most discussed movies right now. Apart from Sai and Ranbir,the movie also has actor Yash on board. He will portray Ravana in the epic saga. If reports are to be believed, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol will play the roles of Lord Hanuman and Kumbhkaran, respectively. Actor Vijay Sethupathi is also reported to be part of the movie.
Recently, internationally acclaimed music composer Hanz Zimmer has been roped in for the magnum opus. He will collaborate with Indian music maestro AR Rahman for the film.
Meanwhile, Ranbir was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal. Released on December 1, 2023, the movie was a huge box office hit, earning over Rs 8 billion.
