Shortly after Rohit Sharma scored a ton in just 35 balls, India went ahead and surpassed its highest T20 score by hammering 253 runs in 19 overs in the second Twenty20 International in Indore today.

India posted a mammoth 260 runs for 5 wickets against Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma smashed the joint fastest century, in 35 balls, en route to his 43-ball 118, while KL Rahul blasted 89 off 49 balls to anchor the innings. This is the joint second highest total in T20s, a record previously achieved by South African cricketer David Miller.
